U18 hints?

I noticed in the Adventure Compendium a couple of changes with today's patch/update to U17.
DNT-Stormhorns Landscape, a level 25 Wilderness Area has been removed.
DNT-Wheloon Landscape, a level 16 Wilderness Area has been modified to read "Coming Soon", and it is still a level 16 Wilderness Area.
I suppose I was hoping, probably a bit too hard, that at least one of those would be included in U17 but it appears to not be the case.
There are a couple things about this I find interesting.
First these two areas were referred to as Landscapes as opposed to Adventure Areas. We can make conclusions galore, however the Purple Dragon Knight located at the end of the High Road Adventure Area states
Quote:
Hail Traveler! This path winds into the Stormhorn mountains, but I am afraid you cannot do any further. More than simple outlaws have been spotted nearby, and we cannot allow anyone to travel beyond this point.
if you couple this with statements made by Fernando prior to the release of MotU it appears the Stormhorn Mountain landscape will be an extension or an dynamic landscape. Where using Turbine Dynamic Layer technology and their patent for moving between instances we will get seamless movement in landscapes. Well at least one can hope.
However the landscape that intrigues me is the Wheloon landscape, located SE of Eveningstar along Way of the Manticore where it crosses the Wyvernflow River. This obviously is not a direct connection to Eveningstar between these two points on the map. In terms of Faerun geography you would need to travel east along the high road to Arabel (which would make a great central nexus) and then south along Calantar's Way to Immersea and past Hilp to the Way of the Manticore and turn east. This is a trek of about 200 miles give or take a few.
Anyways back to looking at U17.

and our favorite Plumage of Rā has also stated that the Toughness Augment everybody is griping about will be back in U18 somewhere near The Orchard as a watered down Toughness. ( that is just plain +20 HP, and not like the toughness feat/enhancement... Seems we have too many HP and need to be nerfed there. )
I'm too lazy to dig out the post... it's in one of the Lammania Item Fight Thread.

would seem to indicate otherwise.

Yeah, nothing watered down about "new toughness" - just that the current one is hardcoded based on the feat and they want to recode it to be able to do variable amounts. It'll still stack.

Nope it's that one....
And what otherwise indication you read from that ?
- U18 was stated in another post. (
http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=4854427&postcount=13
)
- The change on how the Augment Toughness work is stated in that post.
Toughness is supposed to be +3HP + 1hp/level for each toughness level for 22HP at LVL 20.
As there's no level limitation, it should leads to 27HP at Level 25.

Kind of weird they're making more of the MM deeds character based...
Hopefully that won't prevent me from killing 7,000 beholders to get my mini beholder pet!

Guessing mindflayers would be even worse.
Speaking of pets, ran a Chrono last night, and someone had a pet named Fatherkline. He said the pet didn't heal either.
Instant asshole. Just add alcohol.

"Toughness is coming back in Update 18 as a named augment, along with a sizable batch of other unbound named augments."
Missed that line. Thanks. Rage on.
Edit: (Though as to toughness as an item mutation, coulda sworn that's been a fixed 20 point value for awhile now. Just checked on a 19 in fact.)

The toughness on an item =/= toughness feat. It's always been a straight 20 hp afaik. This could hint that they're planning a scaled toughness augment. They are also hopefully planning a minos like augment, i.e. 20 hp toughness + heavy fort in the same slot.
We also know clerics are getting domains, when the enhancement update comes out. There was some information actually released in one of the lama builds.

There would be no reason for it to have a min level of 12 if it scaled like the feat.

when they fixed the minos legens to not provide toughness as a pre rec for enhancements they hard coded 20 hp for toughness on items

Yes, the Lamabuild has some hidden info that shows the live enhancement lines Undying Court and the other one as Cleric Domains.

from what I saw it was more like a redo of the faith enhancements. the 'you can give someone proficiency with longswords' type stuff, nothing major - domains in name only
