Before anyone says build a Shiradi archmage...I already have one. Doing the same thing gets boring. The idea here is to make something that's as good (or even better at certain things) than a cookiecutter AM/Shiradi WF.
So at one point in time about 9 months ago I had my main in a wizard life (my AA toon) and he was rolling as a 12 Wiz/6 Arty/2 Ranger (I think).
The point was Endless Fussilade (I had Needle and an Obscenity Repeater) and just regular bolts whenever I was on SLA timer (Archmage, MM and CM).
I ran around in shiradi which was great I got lots of Nerve Venom procs, I had IPS, pin, blah blah. It was super cool with meta'd SLA's.
That was when AM SLA's required lvl 12 Wiz for both SLA's.
Now that druid has a few cool SLA's, (Sunburst, Faerie Fire, Creeping Cold, even Call Lightning) The SLA rotation could potentially get a lot more interesting with as little as 4 Druid levels. I know the SLA's damage themselves will be weak themselves, but meta'd in Shiradi they could be pretty rad sauce for the Shiradi procs.
Problem is I'm back from 5 months off and not beta participation so I'm still catching up on a LOT of things.
Main questions:
1. How many druid SLA's can I get?
It looks like with 4 druid I can go up to Call Lightning and with Druid 12 I get Sunburst and Word of Balance which looks awesome.
2. Has anything changed to make Archmage SLA's not worth it at only 6-8 levels of Wizard in Shiradi? Spell Crit and power will be a little lower I know, but which class has more levels can just stack up on the enhancements. I was thinking Something like Wiz 12/Druid 4/X 4 or Wiz 14/Druid 6 or something along those lines. For Sunburst, Druid 12 or 14 / Wiz 6 or 8 would be another option.
The basis of all of this is that Shiradi procs are where the DPS is at, Beguile is awesome, and Druid + AM would make for a ridiculous rotation of SLA's.
I'm sure I'm missing some really important things so let me know what they are.
PS: for those so inclined since there's no DC and low SP requirement to this build you could probably fit in Feats to use ranged with Elf or Half Elf for AA. It's not as impressive as Fury or Blitz Many Shot, but it's still not too bad for pinning things and adding general DPS. Just a thought.

Note that the following is my experience with SLAs in
heroic levels
, that might not apply to their shiradi performance.
I have a lvl 18 Artificer with all 4 SLAs. The SLAs are very strong, relatively easy to target, short cooldown, and usually AoE (3 out of 4). You can rotate them almost exclusively, barely having time to fire the repeater. You can pick up 3 with four artificer levels, you need 12 levels for the last one.
I also have a druid (only level 9 atm) which I respecced to pick up the early SLAs. The druid SLAs are much worse. All are single target. Produce Flame travels very slowly, rarely hitting a moving target. Creeping cold is good, but slow. Call Lightning is OK. Perhaps things will pick up at level 12, but right now I have to use spells for AoE damage.
I am not sure if any of this helps you

That's good info.
Call Lightning is nice because it's AOE for Shiradi procs. Sounds like the fire one is useless. Creeping cold is a very good dot in it's own right and with it being cheap it would be nice for boss fights.
I'll have to look into the arty SLAs, I hadn't gotten that far and didn't know they added ones.

It opens up the question of splashing Arty I guess as well. The one thing you have to be careful with SLA's that are low DC is making sure they don't have a save I suppose. Creeping cold for instance is a good that doesn't, and so is Word of Balance.

Wiz 7 looks to me like the sweet spot with MM and AM, as well as level 4 wiz spells. I like Arcane Supremacy quite a bit. I don't know the Druid trees at all, but the AM tree has 1 AP spent = 1 universal SP.
Another interesting option is Air Savant, as eg electric loop and lightning bolt have multiple procs.
That's not opinion, that's science. And science is one cold hearted bitch with a 14 inch strap on.

call lightning is not the same as call lightning storm - it's single target, not AOE.
Just fyi. With that said, I fucking LOVE that SLA. I've seen crits of 1600. I am in water ele form (negative to electric spells), and don't have much in the way of lightning spell power but that shit rocks. And it's 6 spell points. As a 17 druid/2 monk/1 wizard caster type, it's really helped with the pitiful spell point pool that druids usually run into.

What about a 13 Druid / 7 AM that mostly just relies on SLA's? Sunburst/WoB/CM/MM
