For the rare times you need a healer, the party only wants a healer. They don't really care what else you can do. All you have to do is show up and save them from using clickies/pots/items swaps.
Good point Scunc and the essence of what I primarily took the class to do. In my opinion, at times, the piviotal difference between wipe and no wipe. A lot of time seems to be built in to dps/self sustaining (to an extent), builds. You have quoted, in my opinion, situations where a pure heal cleric is a preferred requirement. Perhaps the DDO developers should look at providing more opportunities for this to be the case. Otherwise, whats the point. Perhaps the days of the pure heal class is numbered, but, in my opinion, the enjoyment is had from keeping all of the party alive at the end of the quest, rather than brag about the number of kills you made.
The point made by Encair is a valid one..

But it's really hard to even decide wtf to do, divine casting is in the weirdest fucking situation ever.
Its hard to decide what to do. Hence, the opening of this thread.
Build suggestions are still most appreciated, although I cringe at the thought of what anal and Alex are going to contribute.
Good luck and good hunting all.
