It shouldn't, since it's adding +1 to the enhancement of the weapon.  I know for a fact that the Exalted Angel ability "Blessed Blades" will fuck up Celestias, as they add your alignment type to break DR. (In my case that was LG)

Blessed blades: Passive Bonus: Any weapon you wield or unarmed attacks are treated as having your alignment for damage reduction bypass purpose. (no effect if true neutral).

Righteous Weapons: When wielding your religion's favored weapon, it gains an additional +1 to its Enhancement Bonus.

I don't recall if when my ranger was a Jugg if the + to enhancement from battle engineer screwed with celestia. I didn't really use them much. It SHOULDN'T, but we all know how good Turbine is at stuff.

Based on the FoS quote in the linked thread, if they gave Celestia a unique version of the enhancement bonus, then it is likely that adding 'conventional' enhancement bonus from Warpriest fucks it up by adding Magic as a damage type. Of course, I can't confirm this either, since I don't have a Celestia to test with.

But either way, these people are fucking nimrods. Let's make a weapon that breaks everything you augment it with new damage types! And hey, let's add some abilities in EDs and in the enhancement pass that do just that!

I wish that the DR breaking properties that get added via EDs and Enhancements were an active toggle, rather than a passive effect. Would make it so much easier.

actually i pulled an ehard elemental fury and saw it had 4 or 5 +5d4 elemental damages and thought it wasnt half bad......


of course i also had a celestia on that toon and i probably should have compared the two......guess i can crack that down to laziness.

funnily enough the toon i pulled it on was my sorc and i seem to get many shortswords on that guy......got a celestia noone wanted, got a treason noone wanted, pulled an elemental fury, i think it was also the first toon i got an envenomed blade on .

ya, i had been hunting an envenomed blade (yes the base item) for several months and never saw one drop in the chest for anyone......and now they drop every other run. dafuq ddo.

Celestia just has so many other effects that are awesome, it's hard for anything else to compete with.

But like Mo said, the Star of Day can be a temporary holdover until you get a pair of em. Or permanent, if you're lazy/not inclined to raid.

I could potentially be convinced to TR my sorc into a SSword build cause he has a fully upgraded celestia and the raider's box could mean I would have a second lol.

Hey munk some suggestions while checking up on this build.

Go human. Now that you've found out that righteous weapon messes with celestia, no point going drow until it's fixed. Even if it's fixed, I like the 20% human versatility damage boost much more than a static +4 bonus to weapon enhancement, especially since I remember it working with sneak attack. It requires minor ap expenditure and the bonus feat doesn't hurt either.

Also I've been trying to make a build that make use of celestia and shield of condemnation. I was debating between a tank type and your rogue then I remember there is nothing worth tanking in this game. In raid situations, (u21) the combination of shield of condemnation transfered to tank and smite weakness would make your celestias shine more.

I'd thought all that through.  In a raid situation I was always simply planning on dropping the drow AP for shield.

I've already got damage boost from the assasin line, though human longswords are definitely a better option for someone else atm.

If celestias don't get fixed I'll just swap to another weapon, I can't be bothered undergoing another TR.

I would be too lazy to switch around so I'll keep the shield 24/7.

Damage boost from assassin line can't be activated with haste boost. I like having both.

At this point I'm trying to make a build that uses shield of condem, celestia, and ameliorating strike. A high prr, high hp, self-healing monk/pally/fvs tank. Low priority toon but just a thought in case next raid requires a tank for ee. Also interesting is how divine sac and smite evil would work with high doublestrike.

Also no longswords come to mind I would want to play with. Oathblade, epic sirrocos, meh.
