Well, I tried to log on to my main account as I have been doing each day, and it let me on... this was while the GM's were still cleansing my characters. 
So I worked my way through my various characters seeing what was gone and what was not.  I didn't get all the way through until I was kicked off with a "we are performing maintenance on your account" message.  I didn't get to my Main, who had all my epic stuff. 

Pretty much every bag emptied.  None of this 3 left behind stuff. 

Some non-dupable stuff destroyed:

My stack of rezz cakes and greater rezz cakes which I though were gone, I have found. 

My Air Elementals from Crystal Cove (about 450 total)
My Ice Elementals from Risia (about 200 total)

My main storage toon for cannith crafting totally emptied - I ever even though about duping lesser/greater essences.

fukkers have deleted all my dragonshards, I had like 10 perfect ones, the fruits of collecting and crunching 10 (or is it a hundred) million shards.

On my main one of my bags, on the character they were "cleansing" has changed from an huge ingrediants (green) to a huge collectable (red) bag. 

I think what they do is look in the bag, if it looks as though it contains anything duped they delete the whole bag, then they recreate a new empty bag in its place.  I had a couple of bags not touched, but they had a scattering of random collectables up to like 20 of various stuff. 

In this case, my logging in kicked the GM off my account.  By the time he kicked me out again he remembered he needed to re-create the bag, but he recreated it as a wrong one. 

I had 2 ing bags, a gigantic one that held my hundreds of different epic components (shards, scrolls, seals) and a huge one that held my shroud stuff, both shop bought.  I also has 1 huge collectables. 
Now I have 1 gigantic ing and 2 huge collectables.
