Solidarity Ban

Turbine has seen fit to remove a large number of good players from the game indefinitely.  For that reason, I would ask Turbine to ban all of my accounts associated with this login, permanently.

I have played DDO since beta and pre-release.  I have had friends come and go, again and again.  I enjoyed the game very much in its early years.  Now however, DDO is reminiscent of an Alzheimer's patient; it has forgotten both who it was and where it came from.  It no longer remembers those that were once familiar and every voice is a stranger.  This saddens me.

I have my refund.  Now please do the humane thing and put my accounts out of their respective misery, permanently.

Who the fuck needs a solidarity ban when Turbine keeps adding shitty loot and mechanics?  I'm looking for a new MMO.

I went back to SWTOR.  Prophecy of the Five server has a lot of Khyberites.

You are so addicted that it requires them banning you to have you stop playing?

Why not just delete the game?

Or destroy all your stuff, give away whatever can be given away, then delete all your toons if you really find it hard to resist returning?

It's never been one that can hold my attention like DDO did (nothing has since) but SWTOR really, really, REALLY nailed a few things. The sounds, for example. Even my wife recognized them. Hoth is another example. Hoth feels and looks like Hoth. It's awesome.

I am with strake, SWTOR is nice and all, but it doesn't compare to what ddo was. I am still looking for an mmo to compete with the old ddo.

Here's a better way.

Make a new character whose name noone will know on a random server.

Post a new thread on the forums called: Quitting, giving everything away!
In the details, say that anyone who sends your new alt a /tell will get something from your collection. The nastiest tell gets the best item. Say that the alt could be on any server.

Watch as the forum rage about rude and abusive /tells from strangers piles up and up and up.

No, not even close. I have had threads burned in under a minute.

This, and I only started playing when it was f2p.  I envy those of you who heard of this game and enjoyed it from 06-10.

Here's hoping Pathfinder has good character building options.

I was there at the start of its beta up to about a month or two after live release. The game died fast. I came back after awhile to find out it became shit. It was fun to log into my guild and see that I was the only one online in over 100+ days.

Same here.  Played from 2 month prior to release + ~6 months after.  Got 2 characters to then-cap of 50.  2 others around 40-45.  The story is awesome.  The gameplay is boring as heck after DDO.

Last time I logged in and messed around, no one had been online in my guild in about 6 or 7 months.

Really had high hopes for SWTOR.  Light sabers are awesome.

What the hell is with you deleting your account after every post only to activate it again for a post and then deleting it again?

He can't stay long.  He's busy ferrying burnt-out DDO'ers over to other games.

P.S. Who is that in your sig?  It's... mesmerizing.
