Ah, so you reckon FoS went postal on the Server farm?
Or do you think it was sabotage?
He installed Win 8 on all their PC's and it infected the servers with the surface interface??
Nah more likely FoS has a small hosting setup and just turned them off...

Turbine is aware of the connectivity issues.
Unfortunately, the nephew of their CIO that "knows computers" and manages their network infrastructure has his phone turned off

I'm guessing that some of you folks that are lurking are new to the vault and are coming straight to this thread to find out what's going on with the game being down. If so, I just wanted to point out that the best way to get the latest information is to send a private message to Epoch. He is kind of the unofficial "news guy" around here and I'm sure he'll give you a very, very warm welcome.

This is from there facebook page
"6:50PM Update: Due to a power issue at our datacenter, all services within the datacenter lost power. For unknown reasons, the backup power systems did not properly come online causing all services to lose power and go offline. Once the power issue is resolved, we will begin the process of verifying and restoring our games and websites. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience."

I don't think naming names would be a good thing for me to do, but I'd pretty much add anyone who's a know-it-all dick on the list. Even if they are sometimes intelligent with their opinions, the way they state them in long, "i'm a lawyer at trial"-type posts makes me want to punch them in the face. They act like whiney babies with god complexes and then freak out if someone so much as breathes criticism in their direction.

My family thanks Turbine for the downtime. I had no other choice than to make homemade marinara and two batches of meatballs.
Maybe now that they're fed for a couple of days they'll leave me alone.

Typical Turdbine. I'll bet that someone didn't pay the electricity bill, the generators ran out of fuel, and the whole show shut down while someone got their dick sucked at the power company.
