In this case, the TAS consists of playing the game frame by frame, in an emulator, recording inputs for each frame ; using save states to always make it better. Then, play the recorded inputs at "normal" speed and you get those videos. It's a lot more "assisted" than just having an extra button doing a combo of inputs for you.
