Hey everyone – Looking for help with a Sun Elf Cleric build.  I want to get the iconic past life and need two more cleric past life so I thought I would do them together.  I have completionist and sort of put one together on the preview server, just not sure of the starting stats and enhancement.  Not even sure if I should stay pure or not.  This is just for the past life so quick and painless would be nice.  Thanks for any help.

If you need only the ITR and you don't fear to fall asleep for the boredom: 8clr/6fvs/6wiz cha build, shiradi spammer with energy burst as twist. Ap spent on AoV e AM.Zerg your way to 28 twice and then start sertaline

If you dont plan to play ee, and even for ee i would suggest a purer cleric since its more fun.
Also divine sphere xp is always handy since it gives the arguably best past life benefit imo.

So suggestion to either do a 18 cleric 2 palie, 18 cleric 2 monk, 17 cleric 2 monk 1 soul or 18 cleric 2 fsoul light spellpower and dc evoker.

They work really well in heroic elite for zerg purpose, and wonderful in en and eh content.
For ee you would need a bunch of past lifes, and check this, best thing, its not a braindead shiradi build!!!
ITs actually fun!
For shiradi  personally i only like shuri builds.
Casters lose so much potential by going shiradi imo

I simply love my Sun elf pure fvs EA. But she's at cap with full gear and past lives.

Even so, I suggest going pure, wisdom based light nuker.
Try to get a reasonable cha for energy burst and hellball when it becomes available to you. Take epic evocation focus and work that soundburst!

Soundburst followed by energy burst and divine wrath demolishes groups of mobs very nicely. BB is always fun and you won't be lacking single target damage either (rebuke foe is your friend).

Smiley need is relative, and I highly disagree with this. My main toon is a pure cleric, first life, light dc nuker, and she can solo ee's. Of course, she's got all her ed's capped, and I've spent some times on gearing her.

Past lives of course give you some nice boosts, but it's not a must.

I went for the divine disciple capstone... +2 to wisdom and more slas to spam. But depends on what u want, 2 monk is a good choice as well. Water stance give u a boost to saves and +2 wisdom.

Honestly, i like monk for dodge, but main reason i prefer monk as splash isnt saves evasion or dodge or stance.
Its mov speed, since i tend to kite alot when playing cleri builds to line mobs up for dwrath s burst etc.

Bdw was thinking about the more high level content Wink

Capped to 20, first thing i stepped in is ee spies for xp of course.
I basically steamrolled the quest.
A shiradi smthn is ok and effective but not even nearly as fun compared to a pew pew ligh beam star wars  wonabe jedi.

Not getting fast movement with 2 monk levels on your cleric

What is high level content to you?

I haven't attempted to solo WGU, but with some tactics my toon can handle some of Wheloon and Storms Horns. Might not do it as fast as some of the higher dps toons, but that wasn't what we were talking about was it?

I will end up at around 72-74 evoc dc without a single wisdom in exalted tree.
Doubt a first lifer can achieve that.
The difference in power is huge on dc chars.
3 sorc plifes, epic completionist slot and completionist /lets assume you also got 6 wisdom tome.
It does make a difference in most content imo.
Main thing people here and on mother forums tend no to take into account is solo ee at level.
Of course, most capped toons with thf gear can solo lower level ee, but how many can solo them while being under level or at level?
Also as pointed out, you get 4 dc at least less, also possible not all capped destenies, possibly not farmed all gear like i have, possibly no tomes like i have. etc etc.
Also the benefits of plifes overall, conj dc for met fall, hamp free saves, lotsa prr from pdk and divine plifes,30 light spp from morninglord past life etc etc etc.
As said, difference at end is enourmous

My first lifer has a divine wrath dc of 65, with all boosts atm. 62 bb. I do have one epic past life on her, though (power over life and death, which does not add to evo)

I am not saying that all you just wrote doesn't sound awesome. I am just arguing against the quote that you "need" past lives to solo ee's. It's bullcrap. It makes soloing easier, but so does a good build.

Without sufficient dcs,  you will do apsolutely nothing solo in ghold and horns unless you are prepared to chug 100 mnem pots per quest.
Just saying, good build does matter, but a first life cleric dc oriented is not a good build, a lighcannon only maybe is.

Opener has completionist so i suggested that to him since he can play that build at a better level and with more efficiency then a first lifer can.

Have to disagree with you here Lelouch.

I have a 12FvS/5Wiz/3Monk.

My BB DC is at 58-60 in EA. My Wisdom is around 54. My Int is around 44. This is on a character with +5 Tomes, but only 3 PL's, all Wizard.

My main spell rotation is:
BB, Divine Wrath, Hell Ball For AoE.

My Single Target are Avenging Light, Sunbeam SLA, and Scorching Ray. I can Quicken, Max, Empower for very little cost with Aligning the whatever Monk finisher and 10% SP cost reduction from equipment (3BC goggles). I have passive Ki regen from Henshin.

The important part is my twists though really. I take 3 Evo DC, AND Tier 3 Magister Evocation Specialist for 15% chance of -10 Reflex saves. With my AoE's hitting, EVERYTHING gets debuffed basically immediately. Very few things save in a 58-60DC BB with -10 Reflex saves. For stubborn mobs, MM SLA and Scorching Ray debuffs very quickly.

My Past Lives only give me 1 DC from Active Wizard PL.

My Force, Fire, and Light spellpowers are in the 470-490 Range sustainable, and with every possible boost it's they're all around 510'ish.

She does quite well in EE.

Your single target roitation isn't a complete rotation.  It seems like your single target deeps would be slightly lacking.

Incorrect. Scorching ray and avenging light have very short coool downs. Just didfle those until sunbeam comes off cooldown.

*shrug* I just solo'd ee Haunted Halls on her to prove a point. Stuff was dying a lot faster than I expected, lol. It was my first attempt ever, so I made a whole lot of mistakes, could have done it faster and with less deaths with some practice.

I spam sunbolt, divine wrath, sunbeam, sunburst, energy burst fire, radiant bursts.. once in a while I hit implosion and mass frog on undead, which die nicely. My dp was ticking for 500-1500 on red named bosses and I added the other spells to take them out a bit faster. My biggest issue was not killing the mobs, but avoiding getting over run by mobs that all want to kill you. As said, I made a lot of mistakes, and died because of it.. but I finished the quest.

Oh, and I was surprised at how fast the helmed horrors died in the end fight. I threw a couple of bb's, kited them while attacking the boss and suddenly 7/8 horrors were gone. I left the last as I had a memory of them respawning.

Dunno, i like that build, i really like it alot but only in shiradi, its not really a exalted build and its fsoul.
Opener wanted cleric, that build you suggested is totally different and based on total different concept of playing.
ITs more or less abuse archon and arcane supremacy build with shiradi garbage mixed in to be effective.
What a favored soul can be built is different then a cleric.

Again, opener wanted cleric and morninglord.
So in short a dc oriented is fun, and as said dc for me is around 73 maxed, can play with 74-75 if i log bard bot but lazy.
What for is that good?
ITs evoc fort save for my s burst spell.
If you played as necro you would know what having 73-75 dc on fort save means even in horns.
Lets keep it simple, it makes things die fast.
Youl be able to have sustained 80 evoc dc on a full dc based cleric in next update making the rotation sburst sunburst divine wrath cometfall a killer combo.
Also you can possibly twist energy burst fire as it should work when they are helpless.
When i play cc casters, sorc wizzy or clerics my main priority is to get a reliable cc with helpless factor since it makes questing so much faster and i dislike shira casters, only way i could possibly be forced to play shiradi is as a shuriken build and even for those im considering dreadnought from next update on.
A 12 soul for example would lose 3 dc alone from lack of heightening sburst and that is a big loss imo.
Again opener wanted cleric, so fsoul would have a different approach when i would build around it.
Fsoul overall has a very weak tree beside the 30 spp and free sp for light beam builds and dc casting, im vouching on mother forums for a while to get some kind buff or slas for favored soul since more then 2-4 fav levels on most builds is a waste /beside that archon abuse build/.
I for example rly like 17 cleric 1 soul 2 monk as cleric oriented to get most light spp and dcs i can in the mix.

Also im not saying a first lifer or whatnot cant solo, but it most defintitely cant hit high enough dc for high end content for the important spells and it most definitely cant solo ees at level or beyond level without wasting a bazilion of pots and clickies and cakes.
I personally have only 1 way to play and that is never to die unless i get stupid lag like in wheloon wild sometimes
First life for any kind dc caster is just a big no no

Uploading video now. Took me 1.5h to solo it, though.. video is 18GB.. gonna take a while.

As said, was my 1st attempt ever to solo it on ee, so was quite a bit of trial and error. And I even managed to forget how to do the puzzle a first.. and I took a bio break in the middle, lol.

Ok, if this is your first time running this quest solo ee, then go for it. I did regular.

If, not, you're gonna have quest knowledge I didn't have, so u'll have that advantage. I took several wrong turns. I did, though, manage to avoid all traps except the one blade trap that hit me once.

Like said, all I'm arguing against is the "need" for pls to solo shit. Then you changed it to solo at or under level, both of which I have done on a 32p build. Now, I am certain that u can do it faster on your 70+ dc caster, but that is not my point at all. My point is that it can be done without the past lives.

I used 22 mana pots, 3 shrines.

See the 22 pots is my point.
I said its doable if you rely on light damage and use crap load sp pots.
Its ineffective and highly doubt you are able to solo ee horns unless you are prepared to use and abuse many stacks of sp pots.
Difference is, effectivnes vs ineffectivnes.
Also hh is tbh really easy on ee, beside miior fight which  is horrible with no epic reflex or evasion /at least for now until update with op mrr
