Because the rewards you get are so OP, that they needed to limit the drop rates....   Huh

Only orange-named champions drop chests. The chests seem to have guaranteed remnants. It seems like all mini-boss champions drop a chest. The place I have been testing is the central area of Palace of Stone. A decent amount of trash that is passive until you approach, a mini-boss that is always up, and a base level that a level 28 gets remnants on EE.

not surprised if they did.  dicked around in depths chain yesterday and must have picked up 150 easy in about an hour.

If anyone wants to farm these that also does HH a lot, mummy room and a room by the prison area can drop a lot of these chests.  All the adds in mummy room are orange name, and usually I get about half of them dropping chests.  Near prison area is a room with about 20 orange named Juju Zombies that are orange named.  Did this on EH the other day and got about 15 extra chests from those 2 areas resulting in about 100 fragments for the run.

Mysterious Remnants can only appear if the difficulty-modified quest level is equal to our higher than the player character's level that killed the Champion.

Remnants go into the red collectables bag.
