Better way to go on pally?

What do you think is a better way to go on a 20 BF pally with THF line? 

Straight KotC with some BF for PotF with a two hander? 
Or
Bastard sword with orb vangaurd?

I've just been playing SWF now on other builds and not having crazy attack speed is just painful.

Almost no reason to use an orb on a Vanguard. Pretty sure it doesn't count as a shield for Vanguard purposes. I know for sure it doesn't count as a shield for the Shield Mastery feat line.

If you're really thinking about going Vanguard, go Bastard sword for sure but also go for using the Purple Dragon Knight shield.

Considering you cant use the orb as a shield for the shield based attacks in vangaurd, nor does it count towards granting you the passives in vanguard.. So.. why Orb?

pally is easily the most efficient melee today.
