Picks are the best DPS out of those, but pretty much limits you to GS, TF, and nips.

I've tried to think of a way to make TYWA+dwarf fortress good....But like Teh Fake said, you almost certainly don't have the AP for it after all those points you're going to want in Vanguard and Defender.
