For fun:

X4 base, Axe of Adaxus,

+1 O Crit
+1 Headman's chop (LD)
+1 Devastating Crit (LD)
+2 Exalted Smite
+1 Holy Sword (competence)
+1 Earth Stance

14 pally, 5 ftr, 1 mnk

Note sure if Earth stance is also competence.

X11 Multiplier.


Is this possible? Is there a better way?

Need 8 fighter to be centered with battleaxe.

So either holy sword or earth stance has to go.

Can use hand axe, but any way you do it, it's x10.

11 is possible, just not how you worked it out:

4      Base
1      OC
1      Death frenzy
2      Focused Wrath
1      Bond of retribution
1      Headmans chop
1      Devastating Crit

This is entirely sustainable so long as you stay below 50% health, there is no dependance at all on special attacks.

if you use special attacks:

1 Lay waste

Total of 12.

using your paladin base:

3      Base (brusk hook)      
1      oc      
1      earth stance      
1      Holy sword      
1      Devastating Critical      
     Special attacks (I'm fairly sure these can't all be used at once):      
2      smite      
1      Fists of iron (monk enh)      
1      A good death (kensai t5)      
1      lay waste.

Death frenzy is a one minute buff. Iirc, you do not need to be raged to activate it, therefore there is no limit to how often you can use it.

Even if rage is required, it's certainly not a special attack.

In an exercise like this, I find it useful to differentiate between universal multipliers that work across the entire threat range and those multipliers that work on rolls of 19-20.
