Does the OP Warlock bore you? (Read 7644 times)

	How long till people get bored of how easy Warlock destroys content? There's been a few people who've stated that they've quit playing the things on the MB b/c godmode soon becomes boring. Boring is what kills games - I certainly hope they're not adding "Reaver" to compensate for the new OP nature of all recent class overhauls they've introduced rather than adjusting the OPness. But what if they are - will you care? I have two thoughts on the issue: 1) since there's no endgame and people just ER/ETR over and over, it's best to have an OP class to play to get through the process asap. 2) the whole thing is stupid.

	Haven't played DDO in awhile hell havent even run TOEE lol but what maes warlock so OP and how does one play warlock whats it strong points etc?

	The temp HP is a great emergency button. It does great DPS, usually without having to get close to the enemy. Other than that, I don't know. My guildie runs a warlock build that out-DPSs my barb, but he dies more often than I do.

	I dont feel its OP. 20-28 is a bit of a slog compared to my pali & wiz I am running with fewer and fewer of them in Epics now too, so I see a lot of people tried and switched away again I dont like it because basically just hold down 1 fire key from one end of the dungeon to the other. The slow timings of the keypresses make it not worthwhile to swap to any other of the damage spells other than the main one I have done 2 lives and Im going back to wiz

	Warlocks are fun and have their niche. I'd rather play a warlock than a shiradi spamming magic missile. That was OP and sucked ass. This is OP and at least kinda fun. But for the same reason I prefer wizard to sorc, nuking just isn't all that enjoyable to me over the long term. I like the versatility of the wizard. I've got mine in a nice spot with really strong enchantment and necro DC's and doing acceptable damage with nuking spells and strong survivability. It might not be the most OP build or class right now, but it's really fun to play in epic content either solo or with a group. Same with my FvS. I enjoy the survivability, the CC, the nuking, the instakilling. Again, maybe not a current top class, but it's damn fun to me. I'll get the 3 PL's for the +9 MRR and the the PL's are some of the fastest you can grind out, so that's nice. It's a solid class. Kinda like Sorc, or Druid. It's just not my cup of tea.

	I haven't logged onto DDO since the Steam Summer Sale. I'm still burning through the games I got during that. Besides, I don't feel like paying Turdbine full price for Warlocks.
