Fun build ideas? (Read 4224 times)

	I have a Monkcher that's out of date, and frankly not very fun any more. So I have a TR planned. I already have a number of updated builds but want something a bit different. This toon will have some Ranger & Monk past lives, almost all EDs capped and some half decent bows and wraps. I'm looking for ideas on what to do with her. I figure the weapons I'm going to have to swallow "losing" as I'm bored with Monkcher and Monks suck balls wrap-wise these days. So I'm at an even starting point of zero for any weapon type. Happy to farm something out prior to TR if it's not too painful. It seems it'd be ideal for a Rogue but screw that pewpewpew noise, so that's out. I have a Wolf, Pal, Barb, etc. so the obvious power choices are also out. Any thoughts on something a bit different, fun or a good fit?

	Pal14/Ranger6 perhaps? Holy Sword spell used with Pinion or perhaps TF bow.

Any thoughts on something a bit different, fun or a good fit? You should try a "splash" build, Mech/Swash/Ranger focused on doubleshot and grenades.� It can make boring old combats pretty fun. Falls off around level 22 so don't use a iconic race or you will have to burn a LR to make the last 5 levels playable. Stockpile assorted grenades before TR'ing for convenience, Fletching makes it viable.

	Ah thanks, I figured they'd be nerfing the crit effect down to a +[w] or something. Much less bothered about trying that then, if it might last longer than a month. That's a nice idea, Rem. I have another out-of-date character that's already a Bard/Rogue mutt so I'll give it a whirl on him. Cheers!

	You could recycle some of the ranged accessories and cloth armor if you do a shuriken chucker.

	I did consider that but I have two already... It would be nice to keep a ranged, non-shuriken option. Seems little point now, I can't think of a place I prefer the burst DPS. I wish they'd (properly) sort out the ranged issues.

	Try gxbow mech? The firing noise is less annoying and it does more damage anyway.

	Ah that's not a bad idea; I might be able to stand 1/3 of the noise! Thanks. Am I right in thinking that, though some splashes are better than others, the power comes from 18Rog? If so I'll probably dip into Barb for run speed and Sprint Boosts. -- No Warlock here, waiting for dirt cheap sale, but thanks!

	It looks like a nice boss button but I spend more time running than beating on bosses, so I'll take Barb I think. Nice for pure Rogues though, one of the better capstones by the looks of it.

I wouldn't be discouraged just by the sound effects - these can be adjusted in the audio settings if you find them annoying.

	Ooh can you exclude certain noises? Rely on audio cues for other things so can't turn sound effects down entirely but if there's a way to isolate weapons or something I'm all ears!
