I really didn't like the long load times and the POV for the gameplay fucks with me

The servers are based in Australasia, for me it's the first MMO I've played with good load times & no lag issues Cheesy

The POV is easily adjusted, I wasn't a big fan of the default either.

And with DDO's management style, you get to play both at once  Undecided

Path of Exile
Minecraft
Pathfinder (PnP)
Toon (PnP)
Guillotine (card game)

Guillotine! Good choice.

In no particular order:

Card Hunter
FTL
King of Tokyo (tabletop)
Friday Night Fragfest (tabletop, prototype)

No 5th I can really recommend at this point. My new PC did come with a copy of The Phantom Pain, however. I'll be downloading it as soon as the month resets and I know I have the bandwidth to grab that beast without getting slammed with overages.

DDO really has the perfect POV controls and character movement + speed.

pretty much. PoE is okay. But no jumping. They have teleporting, just not through walls, but some objects are okay. IDK who thought of these arbitrary teleport limitations, but it's prolly the same person who thinks jumping is somehow unrealistic in a game where you can be god-like. except for jumping. gods dont jump.

camera view makes me want to punch baby kittens on the nose. mouse click movement is two decades ago. get over it industry. plis.

story is good, voice acting is decent, bosses are well done, music is okay, loot is dope as fuck. wish we had PoE loot system here.

item tetris is in its glory in PoE. they even gave different items a set inventory size for scaling. Like platemail is as big as a bow! Well thought out. grats, devs.

The low leveling process is just like ddo. bunch of skill gems, but only around 2 are good. Where in ddo everything uses two handers. unless youre a monk. Kind of even there

the game starts to get diverse around the mid 30 levels where skill gems start to branch out and your skill tree starts getting good.

if you love making builds then you should love poe. except most builds are gear gated with gear that is rng based off drops. and you need game currency. which is all crafting mats based bartering. I hate people and hate them even more when trying to trade with them.

Darkest dungeon

played this. was decent. gets boring fast. not enough build options and progression of skills is dull. saving grace is the game is easily fully mod-able. even abilities.

how so? the default cannot be adjusted except an even worse zoom in. the dev response was some bullshit about how they made it that way so players can focus on monsters and not camera angels. what a fucking idiot Chris is. the entire point of camera angels is to see monsters more easily so you can actually focus on them. fukin muppets. muppets everywhere.

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

I can see how the PoE controls would favor using a console type pad to play.

I steer my characters in DDO by moving the camera with right mouse button and moving F/B, strafe L/R with keys mapped on a G13 gamepad.  So much more responsive than using arrow keys to turn which is slow.

i have the settings cranked to ludicrous turn speed. only time i ever mouse look is for precise movements or kiting adrenaline dragons in fire peak.

1. Dragon Age: Inquisition: Full playthrough with all DLC. Fucking great game. Original ending wasn't enough. The new one is. Auto-scaling of the mobs with the trials keeps things interesting up until lvl 25. They start one shotting you through a max'd barrier after that.

2. DDO. My cigarette addiction. Only lag will drive me away.

3. Skyforge. Good graphics. Decent combat. End-game raids have sprite issues that they can't seem to solve. Grindy as fuck. Build diversity goes down the toilet as you level up. Power is P2W. Worth checking out imo though.

4. Fallout 4. AAA game of the year, but I beat it in a week. Not enough content. Power armor is OP.

5. Witcher 3. Didn't finish it, but was amusing. I stopped after Skellige. Too much pointless shit to do.

That is how I felt about it. It is basically skyrim without all the extra skyrim shit.

Hmm I love Skyrim, fuck I spent more time dicking with mods than actually playing it ha, but it's more for action oriented player, not much for a story.
Witcher combat is shyte but story makes up for it.
Atmosphere and lore is excellent in both games.
Hard to pick a favourite.
It's Icewind and Torment, Quake and Deus Ex, Dawn of War and Civ 5.

How dare you put Icewind as a comparison to Torment.  Torment is far greater then Icewind could ever hope to be.
