But can still cover the cost of running the show. what is true for AC ( a subscription only game AFAK ) is not true from DDO... and as soon as Maintenance Mode is officially announced lots of people are going to leave as it means that the game is technically dead. So they won't make a formal announcement of Maintenance Mode.... but releases are going to contain less new stuff and more and more 'bug fix'.... and my guess is that the tipping point ( update where there's more fix than new stuff ) will happen 3 or 4 updates after U29.

	Does Turbine have any new development in the pipeline? Last thing I heard they were working on Infinite Crisis.

I was not a fan of the S/S/S system, but your suggestion would make it much more accessible to "filthy casual" players like myself, and would improve the system from incredibly random to one of progression.

I agree it really encouraged group play albeit farming which isn't wonderful but I enjoyed it more than what they replaced it with.

Yes, anecdotal reports were that Turdbine was burning thru up to $4M per month in the closing stages of developing IC, so you can imagine how much they spent on something that went straight down the S bend after release. Given the budget spent on LOTRO and DDO, what an appalling waste of money. If they spent half of one month of IC's budget, they could turn DDO around (caveat: with the right Producer and team). Hell for less than $4M you could probably create DDO2 from DDO's code.
