	Smrti is TRing to run with some friends. Need something I can play. Melee, TWF/Bows are the gear. Prefer to have some kind of survivability and be able to later on solo EE shit if I decide to stick around that long. I'm out of the loop on what works well anymore, so let me hear shit.

	You looking for heroic TR'ing or playing in the epic levels? For the epic I wouldn't worry about what gear you have and just play what sounds fun as there's so much new stuff that invalidates the old stuff anyway. If you're looking heroic levels only what are the highlights gear-wise for your TR'ing stuff? This thread has some good builds that will set you up really well but without knowing the exact gear there are two I'd really recommend. First one, playing a Human THF Paladin right now is extremely easy. Most points in KotC, Sacred Defender at least through Swift Defense (because no one wants to run base speed!), standard THF feats (THF line, PA, iCrit: Slash, other stuff to taste but I'd go Empower Heal and maybe Quicken). Slap on some good heavy armor, get a nice TH slashing weapon, win. The gear to make it work will be easy to come by. Healing between the option to take some amp in human, KotC, and at epic levels Divine Crusader, is extremely powerful. I'm doing this build right now on a Bladeforged and can keep myself up in most EE's with just the Consecration...that's the difference the healing amp makes. Second option is a Mechanic. I prefer pure for the extra sneak damage and the nice capstone boost. Human would be outstanding for a triple boost (Mech Capstone, Ranged Power, Human Damage Boost). All int with enough dex to get to 19 in heroic levels and 21 in epic levels (+5 tome is very helpful on this front). Feats are standard for xbows (PBS, Prec Shot/IPS, Rapid Shot, Rapid Reload, Precision, iCrit Ranged) and as a human you can easily fit in Insightful Reflexes in heroic levels a well (I had to burn an epic level on it for my Drow version I'm playing right now). Very nice damage, vorpal on a 19-20 with Great Crossbows, and there's an outstanding named Great Crossbow available in both level 13 and level 28 versions (Divine Artillery). This one can solo most EE's but only the ones that give you the room to work and set up areas to kite/web trap. What I really like about both builds for someone coming back to the game is that they play the same at level 1 through level 20. You don't have a class mix that changes the character completely at certain points (though there's certainly points where it becomes more powerful on both ).

	The idea of Paladin and Repeater builds being even viable makes me want to throw up a little. Anything else?

	11 cleric, 6 monk, 3 fighter: elf AA fury, all-in on dex, take enough wis not to fail your spells. 12 wiz, 6 arti, 2 rog: palemaster/trapper elf AA fury, all in on int; insightful reflexes and insightful damage. these are two self-healing, ranged toons, with evasion and great score to go with it.

	Gave this one a go on my son's account a bit (20 bard swashbuckler). He didn't have the gear to make the Enchantment stuff work beyond easier quests but good gear/tomes could make that viable. EDIT: Swashbuckler's kind of nice too in that if you have good 1h weapons they may still be useful to you, unlike the THF paladin and the Mech builds.

	I also saw someone post a variant of swashbuckler that I'm really tempted to play just for the enjoyment of running really freaking fast and not being on a pure monk. Actually, might be even faster than the monk. 15 bard/4 fighter/1 barb. Take the speed enhancement from Stalwart for the stance (10%), 10% run speed from Barb, and 15% from bard. 35% speed boost. Take the Sprint boost from Bard and then if you're PDK you can also get another boost for the entire group's run speed. As far as game play that build's a bit weaker than the 15 bard/3 fighter/2 rogue (another very good version of the swashbuckler builds) but that speed looks really fun.

	don't over-look the wiz/arti/rog build: you can magic-missle spam in shirdai, and get all the CC effects with your crossbow.

	You could always try pure or 18/1/1 or 18/2 tempest ranger. They've just been buffed pretty nicely. Probably want pure though as the capstone is purty.

	I'm actually looking at the NoYellowBar build currently. Seems closest to what I'm after, just gotta figure it out for Human/WF instead of Bladeforged I think?

Also, Blade Barrier. It could also do the Monk special that saves 25% SP before big fights for mass spammage with FvS Just Rewards. It was lots of fun and totally EE solo capable, but not hte highest DPS Shiradi proc build for sure. But sounds like you want a TWF build with possible manyshot option. I would recommend Pure Ranger. Get a feel for how the game has changed, try out the combat styles as they have changed, see what you like and don't like, and then be ready to TR into a different build if you find it lacking. Pure ranger has tits healing, lots of dodge, very high to highest TWF damage, and if you're an elf you can self cast displace if you don't have enough GS clickies. It also makes your bows still useful. Swashbuckler is great, but the damage to my understanding is now outclassed by Ranger/TWF, with the tradeoff being some versatility (assassinate which is cheese if you ask me, top teir end game DPS builds don't need assassinate, they can kill anything they need to that can be assassinated faster than the 30 sec CD on Coup De Grace). There are lot od multiclass TWF builds out there, and there is alsways pure pally as well. People like to rage on, but the DPS vs Healing/Mitigation trade off isn't that out of whack between 20 Barb, 20 Ranger, and 20 Pally right now. At least, that's my understanding from Red Kobold tests and reading about people's experience. If you want something really weird, do a tree build.

	Pure Ranger looks good as well. I have no fucking clue what a Tree build is.
