Looking for Ranger build for heroic and epic (Read 2980 times)

	I searched through the first 6 pages of this forum and couldn't find anything definite. For my triple-triple completionist I'm down to needing 13 heroic past lives and 21 epic past lives. My goal is to do two epic past lives on 8 of the heroic iterations. 2 of the heroics I have left are ranger. I have paid absolutely no attention to Rangers and the changes Turbine made to them several updates ago. I just want something for ranger that will just burn through heroics (Yeah, I know, everything pretty much burns through heroics), but will also burn through the epic side of things.

	Probably... like I said, I paid no attention to Ranger changes. Just want the best build that's currently available for it... just need enough ranger levels to qualify for ranger past life, but not be gimped in heroic.

	For melee TWF 20 Ranger - Str Khopesh / Dex Scim - Tempest + DWS TWF 15 Ranger/4 Fighter/1 Barb - Str/Dex - Tempest + DWS with stance (Works with Paladin as well. Remove Barb for something else) TWF 12 Ranger/6 Monk/2 X - Str Centered Longsword - Tempest + DWS with bits in Shintao For ranged AA 12 Ranger/7 Monk/1 Fighter or Arti or FvS - 10K + MS Dex/Str Bow - DWS + AA Some form of Ranger with a repeater: 12 Ranger/7 Rogue/1 Arti or 6 Rogue/2 Arti - Mechanic + DWS Star Chucker - ?? Ranger/3 Monk/?? Rogue - Don't play star chucker builds but I'm sure someone can add more to this. Pick what appeals to you most.

	But seriously, ignore that clueless bitch and build a real toon: 11 ranger, 6 fighter, 3X: the X depends on whether you want to melee or range. melee=3 paladin for sacred defender bonuses. range=3 favored soul (silver flame line) for war priest bow bonuses. That's the best ranger build bar-none.� Make sure you take fighter your first level. Be an elf: start with max DEX and put every point into DEX as you level up, no exceptions. Start with as much CON as you can, then 10 CHA (anything left over=10 WIS). If you're ranging=longbow DEX to damage; melee=scimitar DEX to damage.

Melee only = max Str w/ khopesh and tempest capstone Hybrid = max Dex w/ longbow and scimitars and DWS capstone Ranged only = max dex w/ longbow and AA capstone I started leveling a hybrid version, but have only used the bow so far because elemental arrows are OP. YMMV.

	Thanks 5 foot. May go hybrid... being able to range stuff in some quests can make those quests much faster.
