They chain reported me last night, it was worth it - not my fault they failed phase one of a LH shroud.

LH shroud. Me, two other pugs from Stormsong, and the rest Ravensguard. We collectively fail phase 1 of the raid - not enough people watching for keepers. In fact, only me and the two Stormsong people are watching - the ravensguard people just autotargetted their way through the portal dps. We fail phase one when the keeper spawns literally 10 feet from the main group (we were on the other side and expected them to shoot it down), I type "you guys got tunnel vision >_>" or something to that effect. No response.

Phase 1 again goes well, phase 2 goes... rocky (we kill one of the bosses way early before the other three have been primed and have to dps race - never fun when the mobs are 3x our level). Phase 3 goes downright shitty - lot of ravensguard people get killed by the wall. Whatever, man. I'm just in it for the mats.

I make it through stage four without dying to the blades, we start stage 5, and abruptly everyone stops killing trash in the warm-up. I don't get the memo - no one on coms, no one in chat, until finally I get a loud "STOP KILLING THE TRASH FUCK" over coms. I stop, look around, everyone is just kiting.

Me (over coms): Why did we stop killing?

Guy (Ravensguard officer): Trash is on a timer here, we kill 4 mins of trash, kill count doesn't matter.

Me: Ah okay. Sorry, didn't know. Wait, so does a new wave spawn if we kill 100% of the wave? or just the majority?

Please note that at this time the vast majority of trash was aggrod and facing a wall - except for the two arcane ooze fragments chasing me around. If I could kill those I wouldn't have to keep kiting, and 4 mins of kiting is a pain.

I'm also a relatively new player, btw. This was my third lshroud ever - I legitimately didn't know we could cheese the fight.

Him: It's not rocket science.

Me: wow fuck you

His guild over party chat: *copies and pastes reporting player message confirmation

I don't have a problem with people telling me off when I mess up, but I legitimately didn't know to not kill. I must have not heard it if you guys told me over voice to stop. I even scrolled back through party chat to make sure. I'm 100% ready to admit my faults - you've seen me in-game, I do it a lot.

I don't think anything is going to come of the report, I've been playing for a while and haven't actually ever been reported before. It just irks me that a guild that many players see as influential treats other people so poorly. You guys immediately jumped on the captain's crew shit talking train, and you personally responded to my "kind of rude to talk about people like that" with "suck a dick." I'm not offended, just... the entire situation seems weird.

I sent a quick apology to Vicinity after he kicked me, no response. If you guys want to hold a grudge, sure, go ahead. I have a shitty reputation on g-land no matter what.

But seriously, dude, don't respond to questions - legitimate ones - with stuff like "it's not rocket science." I am absolutely trying my best out there. I know my builds are sub-par and I'm missing gear, but I'm trying.

Regardless, reporting for that one f-bomb is a douche move.  KNN sounds like a little reporting bitch too, considering his response.  Your response wasn't necessarily the classiest thing you could have done, but takes a lot more than that to be reportable, imo.  It's more embarrassing for them that they reported that shit.

There was one LH shroud where ER tried convincing everyone Tigmar was 9 years old. Some person missed the joke and cursed up a storm saying that we were babying him and insulting everyone who said anything like "Whoa, watch your fucking language man". He dropped group right before we got the chests in P5 because 6 people simultaneously told him he was reported.

Given how much of the player pop reads this forum, I'm definitely happy with the amount of rope they've been given to hang themselves with. I finished my tier 2 LGS that raid, worth it IMO
