The best Modern deck right now is Thopter Foundry combo in anything.  They will have to reban it in 6 months

coco is fine, burn is for special-ed kids. Thopters will take over in time. Unban was recent and most mtg players copy lists. Will take some time before that UW Thopter list catches on.

Intruder Alarm + Llanowar Elves + Imperious Perfect = infinite elves on turn 3

Intruder Alarm + Bloom Tender + Rhys the Redeemed = infinite elves on turn 3

Intruder Alarm + Elvish Archdruid + Wren's Run Packmaster = infinite wolves

Or mix and match mana producers with token makers.

Slow for a 2 drop into a 2 drop combo? Combo starts as early as turn 3. Turn 1 can dig or protect w cantrip/Snare/Pierce. Rest is removal and draw. Recurs with Ruins.

How many decks have an answer to artifacts maindeck for game 1? Abrupt Decay decks and, maybe something with an elf or Pridemage? In the same format that had massive banning on its inception followed by strings of even more bannings. Cantrips too good they banned them. Cascade too good they banned it, Pod too good they banned it, Delve too good banned. Twin too good banned, eldrazi too good banned.

Thopter gets destroyed literally by anything. Affinity is the most consistent with Zoo being the close second.

Of course some metagame cohices, like Kiki-chord, Hate Bears and Merfolk might make some impact.
