You can get shadowfail collectors for 12.50 which includes 2000 TP.  Plus the ability to get 11,000 TP for $60.  It's basically the same as a triple points sale.  Two of those would give you 26k TP for $145.  On double points sales, you get 23k TP for $200.

Pushing sales at the end of the quarter I expect. Not complaining, just making an observation.

But you still can't redeem a second one if you've already redeemed one, right? So 2 of them wouldn't get you 26k TP on the same account? You can redeem a collectors if you've redeemed a standard, but you can't redeem 2 collector's?

With the state of the game, I'm not particularly inclined to spend more real money on it, but even now I'd pay fresh cash to get a second Collector's Shadowfell for the TP, char slots, and tomes, or a second Starter Pack for another Eileri so I don't have to remember which alt I've left her on. For those of us who keep a few low level alts to help friends and PUGs, an emergency healer you can summon mid-dungeon is useful enough that I'd keep several.

They're missing a real opportunity with that mechanic.

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

They screwed it up by making it unable to be summoned more than one per group, like you can do with the owlbears and panthers.  But it is pretty handy.  When I TR I'll eat enough XP gems to get to third and then start running HE in Korthos with her and a plat hire.  Makes an already fast run even faster, and she's good through about 6th level or so.

That's true.  You can buy it, but you can't use it.  That doesn't do you much good, besides to gain access to the 11k TP code for $60 bucks.  That means you are spending $72.50 for 11k TP and you can either give away or sell the Shadowfail code to someone.  Even if you get nothing for it, $72.50 for 11k TP is still a damn sight better than what they cost normally.

The starter pack also gives 250 TP (for $2.50) plus a permanent gold seal level 3 cleric.    That cleric is useful for lever puller or for hitting the rift in the Reclaiming the rift.  She'll end up with 10 HP at the end.

More likely, syncing sales to Steam Summer sale.

They should never run this sale again.  Instead they should make these prices the standard, day to day prices.

The same for any % off on packs for TP, and the triple bonus point TP sales.

JCPenney's tried this and it backfired on them miserably.  People don't want everyday low prices; they want to feel like they're saving money with sales.

Well...since only a couple hundred people use steam to play DDO, it won't make much of a difference.
