Barb Epic Riftmaker Build

I understand it may not be max DPS in the game, but hoping someone could point me to a strong Human Barb-based 2HF build. I have a level 11 barb I'm looking to dust off. Thanks!

16 barb 2 druid 2 bard

Enhancements
36 Ravager (crit rage/blood strength)
8 Swasbuckling En Pointe (AoE double attack)
13 FB Supreme Cleave
23 Free AP


Druid wolf form will convert riftmaker to twf on most newer special attacks like supreme cleave and En Pointe, which will mean they will double hit with it at Riftmaker's  crit profile.

This will give you strong single target wolf damage, and strong AoE THF damage at the same time.

Mmm I guess heroic feats are 3xTWF, PA, Cleave, GC, IC:B, IC:S

Will need to swap to a heavy shield for double MRR vs reflex against heavy AoE fights like Abishai.

If you do more bard levels, you can heal with sustaining song in heroics. It's 2 hp/sec modified by spell power ~100, and HAMP ~100 for 8 hp/sec, with enough charges and duration to do an entire quest.

I'd probably do 6 bard, and pick the bard levels up much earlier for self healing if I started at 1. After supreme cleave, of course.

Ya that or 12/6/2 barb/fighter/bard

Fighter would add crit multiplier and dire charge DC feats, barb crit range and healing, and bard En Pointe, using true THF

With 23 ap you could pick up opportunity attack.

I guess it depends on the feats you already have.

The DPS will be great, but with 1-2 shot deaths on LE, the heal over time nature of Blood Strength will not be helpful and there is no option for burst healing. It'll be a top build anywhere else, but in LE you will be frustrated unless you have a dedicated healer or are willing to play in rez fest mode.

Riftmaker is only 17-20x4 or 12 crit factor on a pure barb, or 1.6 non-crit hits worth of damage.

Fighter makes it 17-20x5 or 16 crit factor.

En Pointe + Fighter is 5-20x4 or 48 crit factor, but is a double hit for 2-4x2 5-20x8 or 115 crit factor, or 7 non-crit hits worth of damage.

En Pointe + Druid is 1.8 hits for twf double hitting 5-20x3 for 2-4x3.6 5-20x10.8, for 9 non-crit hits worth of damage. Mmm forgot if it was a triple hit after druid or quad hit. I just remember it being very good with a LGS heavy ooze pick. The on vorpal proc damage would hit for 7-8k after balanced attacks and combat brute.

It's not the amount of cleaves, its the quality. Especially when some hit for 5x as much as others.

Well, I had already taken 12 based on the first reco, so I'm currently 11 barb/1 druid...don't really want to buy any wood...

Yah it all works out. 20 barb,  barb/fighter/druid/bard combos.

Could even do barb/fighter/druid. Lose en Pointe, gain twf Supreme Cleave with Riftmaker at 17-20x5. Depends on wether or not you have thf or twf feats already, just pick something that fits.

Currently up to greater thf with PA, cleave, and stunning blow...wouldn't be a problem to swap a couple though if needed

Heya when you get to epics, can you test out if the self damage from supreme cleave triggers echoes of the ancesters -

Shadowdancer: Gain a +1 Dexterity, a +2 to saving throws vs. traps and a 1d6 Sneak Attack damage bonus. In addition, every time you are hit, you have a 5% chance of being affected by Lingering Shadows for 4 seconds. Lingering Shadows grants you displacement, a +4 to hit and +2 damage, and +15% attack speed, but is removed if you are damaged. Lastly, you gain a +20% to the duration of your Songs.

I'm interested in trying something like this out. I always hear about wolf builds but haven't given them much thought until recently when I've been thinking about getting some more past lives.

This was sort of geared for TC, but for someone who is starting from level 1 what would be the optimal split and feat choice for pure zerging? I have 4 PL's at the moment and a +6 to all tome.

If you want  barbarian past life just go pure barbarian...they are really strong, trust me. No need to multiclass a barbarian...

They can zerg heroic content as good as any toon and crush legendary elite content...

Plus its a barbarian, they are fun to play!
