I suspect he is counting his ViP subscription in that amount.  Which isn't going to get refunded.  He paid for access to the game for a period of time.  He logged in and used the game during that time period.  Now he wants a refund?  Good luck. 

OK.  Maybe he's not "full of shit", but he is definitely using hyperbole and overstating his time and resource investment in the crafting system.  You can get to 3500 xp in each school in less than 10 hours.  Easily.  So he is asking for a huge refund of something he probably has invested less than 10 hours in over the course of a year or more.  Something just isn't adding up.

I feel for the low level crafter.  And the crafter of level 1-10 twink gear.  This new system really doesn't work for them.  The new system is targeted at gear for levels 20-30 vs. the old system's sweet spot from 1-10.

NoWorries got the most badgering about static effect shards. Players seemed extra-interested in them, so NoWorries probably thought they were OP. They were probably also harder to implement in the new system. Their position on the xp curve represents NoWorries' effort, and has nothing to do with gameplay value.

There is just no other explanation for an Unbalancing Shard as a representative of the pinnacle of one's crafting skill.

Thanks, the DA looks like my best bet, I enjoy it (mostly hate the challenges) and can easily get family members to pike and pass tokens in exchange for the free loot and XP.

If you’re doing the ETR grind, and mainly crafting for yourself, I wouldn’t worry about it.  The “dailies” will keep you in enough PEDs to pimp out your account.

The heroic TR process is a dream for PED's.  I picked up 2 small, 2 med, and 1 large ebby dragonshard my last TR from 1-20.  Plus all the collectibles you get running Eberron content?  That's the best way to get crafting stuff together.

Take a +3 skill tome from a saga reward and you get like 16 or 25 PED's for those.

Yeah, I'm pretty casual, but I've got over 30 small and a dozen med on my main, but at 5 per shard I was already looking for a new source. Adding skill tomes was a big help, they mostly suck otherwise (oh, look, a tome of skill upgrade Swim +2 to +3, how exciting). I don't reliably do sagas, though. I might do 2 Gianthold in a life, but I can't think of what others I enjoy. Seems like there was another, but my mind is elsewhere today.
