When I do TS I do it for the end chests, with a shot at armours with mythic bonus and runes. That is the only reason for doing that raid.

Any other chest in there gives just junk. Vendortrash, to be sold at the first bar or crunched into essences.

Just make friends with a level 400 crafter on your server.  Provide the mats and give them enough junk tomes or small/medium/large Eberron shards for the PEDs and maybe send them a few astral shards for the 35% boosters then get exactly what you want made instead of wasting TP for loot gems and potions and praying you win the RNG lottery.

Or hell, decon all the random loot you get for the next few weeks and bank up about 30-40k cannith essences.  Spend 340 TP to buy 50 35% success boosters and a Major Crafting Experience Elixir then hit 275 crafting yourself in 30 minutes.  275 lets you craft anything in BTA form.  This comes in really handy for alts and for TRs during the level 20-25 gear wasteland.

Either way, you'll be much better off in the long run versus depending on the terrible RNG loot lotto.


P.S.  Save any items you get that have a green slot (red slot on weapons) and disjunct those for creating the items you want.  Aug slots on crafted items no longer raise the minimum level so you might as well get the flexibility of being able to slot a yellow or blue aug, too.

P.S.S.  If you want a bunch of insightful stat crafted gear, I would highly recommend you get your own toon to 275 crafting.  With a 35% success booster, a capped, non-Artificer crafter has roughly a 50% chance of success on the unbound insightful stat shards and it takes a lot of PEDs.  You can get 100% success on BTA versions and it takes significantly less PEDs. 

Turbine can eat a dick for screwing max level crafters on the unbound stuff like that.

I like that they've enabled crafting of superior items for those that feel the need to min/max everything. Those that like grinding can do the slavers runs.

One of the major appeals of pen and paper and DDO is the random loot jackpot though. It's far more satisfying to me than just crafting or grinding it.

I get that not everyone shares that view but some of us do and that's why we have these loot runs in TS. Besides, it's fun bitching about the shitty loot we pull when we see someone pull something truly nice.
