Loot boost weekend round-up (Read 5388 times)

	What is the sickest thing you pulled this weekend? Anybody pull a +17 stat item? or a +8 insight?

	72 rems really did seem to get a lot bigger numbers from the Remnant Drops than usual.

	I didn't see anything particularly great. Some +15's and and +7's mostly. With some nice other effects. Got a ML 17 Str 8 Con 8 belt that went for good money on the AH. Got a Necro +6, Spell Pen +5, Insight Int +5 set of goggles that sold quickly as well. I AH'd a lot of stuff over the weekend. Ended up plus about 2 mill in plat and plus 900 AS. Not too shabby. Something with a +17 stat or a +8 insight stat would have done a lot better.

	who gives a crap about loot boost when you can craft ... +15 stat with +7 insightful and additional effect on same item with an augment slot (or 2) to boot (no pun intended).

	this weekend if I understand correctly was just +15 loot roll, not +2 loot level. There's a big difference there. Not even sure you can get the highest level chests without a blesser and a loot weekend, for those +17/+8 stat items. I pulled a couple +16's, but no one cares about that.

Level 34 or 35 chests won't drop +17's even on the masterful. You need to get the chest level up to the 38-40 range.

	I didn't take advantage of the weekend, because I'm only really after a couple of named items, and this shit doesn't do shit for those.� But the best thing I pulled was a level 13 +6 STR/+6 DEX ring.� Would have been better if it was level 11 or 12, but I guess it's kind of decent until 15 for some +8 wheloon stuff.� Meh, I aim low. Edit: I logged on today, it was actually level 13 +6 STR/+6 CON bracers, not DEX or a ring, that I got.

	The best "bug" ever was back when they increased the player levels to 20, but not the loot tables. If you chugged a better loot potion, during a loot event, and had the chest blessed, you'd bump up the chest loot table into non-existent territory...meaning you'd get absolutely nothing.

Yeah, they should do +2 loot AND +15 treasure hunter for Christmas. Then with a stacking treasure hunter pot and blessing chests things could get interesting. Sure, you can craft better stuff... if you can craft at that level. Either way, I still enjoy the thrill of a randomly drawn nice item.

	I still use on my main a pair of gloves pulled from LE TS on a blessed chest during Loot Weekend (+2 loot level) with a Gem and Guild buffs. It's not even the highest level the loot could have rolled (+8 Insight would be) but my gloves are: +7 Insight Dex +10 Doubleshot (in reality however it's like +9.8, the auto item text rounds up) +61 Healing Amp. These are ever so slightly better than any possible Cannith Crafted version. Of course, no augment slots are a downside. However, with +2 loot weekends, you can still exceed Cannith Crafting items for some combinations. Moreover, there are still some things on random loot I think you can't get Cannith Crafting, slot wise. This was an extremely lucky pull, but for the record, on loot weekends with a blesser you can still do better than Cannith, if ever so slightly.

I agree.� Except...� On a blue moon you might find an item with better stats that line up right.� On a blue, blue moon that item might have an aug slot. The only thing good about this lottery is that you are given tickets just for playing.� If you hate crafting you can still hope to be lucky. Or you can play the AH/ASAH and buy from others who are lucky.

Back when 10 was the cap, I had a paralyzing battleaxe and cleave (if I remember correctly, cleave back then was much wider than it is today - 180 or maybe even 360). I was a god. It was utterly ridiculous. I swindled Goolan out of a second one and used it to paralyze oozes just to fuck with people. Nine times out of ten, they'd be SCREAMING into the mic.
