I'm interested in strategies that are geared towards maxing out Reaper XP the fastest.
List your ideas, and come back to post once you have a chance to test it.

Not necessarily going to be optimum. But I think parking a character at wiz king's "at level" xp marker will probably be a thing. Running with a party at 2-4 skulls rinse repeat.
Also depending on how easy von3 is at level, you will also be at no penalty for that. Level 22 is going to be a pretty sweet spot to park imo. Maybe 23 for gear boost and the small penalty (right now +1 is listed at 0 pen, but it might get adjusted).

With the stupid restriction of +1 to base level of a quest to get full Reaper XP (where Elite BB is +2 on heroic and +4 on epic),
I believe one possibility would be TR'n or ETR'n and get Reaper XP on skull 1-3 while levelling.

Doing this tonight, not with my main mind you but if it works I'll do that next.

Does reaper xp scale with all current (regular) xp boosts?
If so the elite streak TR is probably the way to go.
Otherwise, yeah, park at low epic and grind WizKing, VoN3, Spies, etc daily.

Does anyone know the reaper do formula in relation to the quest xp? Or how it increases per skull?
Target quests with ten to fifteen kills on ten skulls, sand asylum, claw, broken blades, etc. there have to be good quests every level or every few levels.

Lol I don't know why your so mad. This is the answer you had to expect. There's a fucking reason people grind dailies - reaper hasn't changed a thing about that.

Doing Elite + Reaper seems to be a good general leveling strategy as well.
I'm just pissed off that the jackasses put the hard cap between Heroic and Epic levels. It would have been nice to have a solid reason to run the level 18-20 heroic quests.

Did anyone actually test this? Because you can run 18s on elite and get xp and 19s on hard and get xp. The game takes into account the difficulty modifier when determining whether or not a quest is epic for xp purposes.
If the reaper cap behaves the same way then you wouldn't be able to run level 17 or lower bases at 20 or higher.

Tested it last night. It does indeed lock you out 19s on reaper at level 20. SMH.

Viable reaper strategies:
1. Play a tank
2. Play ranged
3. Play shiradi or warlock
Anything else is good luck.

It would also be nice if they could figure out a way to get the reaper bonuses and mythic bonuses to stick when you upgrade an S/S/S heroic item. Just makes the S/S/S stuff even less appealing than it already was. Not that it needed any help in that area. But some of the stuff, especially the helms like Elder's Cap, Helm of Frost, Crest of St. Markus, Mask of Comedy, Helm of the Mroranan, Helm of the Red Dragon, Darkstorm helm would have been actually usable with a +2 to all stats on top of their current stuff. (The Red Dragon helm, since it is a completed item, might drop in a +2 to all stats reaper version).

I agree, but I have to say I'm finding the Dev's 'fog of drop' pretty annoying. But, I guess it's always this way when a new system drops.

You forgot healer - more specifically cleric. Tank + healer is by far the most effective strategy in reaper 10s at the moment.

Im thinking that the best party composition for reaper is whatever worked as a solo character but in a party of two, and exchanging heals instead of self healing.
At least for epics, the hp scaling with more party members is so retarded you really want to either keep it small.

Terror can still be helpful, if nothing else it can turn around Reapers instantly with the spook effect. But don't hold your breath for PK. The spook effect is also buying way more time than the paralyze.

Thanks, it's not ideal but at least it's not entirely useless as a tactic and tool. Whereas they have made Paralyze virtually useless unless you have a DPS machine to jump on them right away.
