Someone spoofed a monk with crazy fire buffs to make magic viable dmg. Is that still a thing, was it nerfed? No one know what I'm talking about? I still have 1 monk tr to do before doing some fighters wouldn't mind some flavor.

Henshin Mystic is now more of a Q-Staff build. There are some nice fire powers like Cauldron of Fire but they're not good enough to make a build around.
Do not try the patience of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger.
We are dreamers, shapers, singers, and makers. We study the mysteries of laser and circuit, crystal and scanner, holographic demons and invocation of equations. These are the tools we employ, and we know many things.
The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

It isn't a super friendly heroic build, but then heroics are pretty damn easy especially with the bonus 40% from running R1. And if you just can't stand the slower leveling, well, Otto's Boxes are on sale again.

Was it pure monk?
You might be able to have some fun with, say, 12 monk/8 sorcerer fire savant focusing on the fire-based SLAs and fire-stance/fire moves. After that put on a cannith crafted fir of insightful fire with increases fire crits.
Not going to be the best build in the world but viable enough to have fun with. That IS why we play this game, isn't it?
I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.
