Haven't ran epic in years, so I need a little refresher course here (plus various other questions).

+20 Heart of woods

Are these not normally in the store?  The sale makes it sound limited, but I don't think it's a very good deal.  If they're offered year round, I'll wait for a better sale.  If not, I have a toon I want to switch classes on and will be forced to grab it now.

Epic XP penalty

Will probably be hitting level 20 over and over a few times.  What's the highest level I can run with without an XP penalty?  Is it safe to jump in a level 30 quest with level 30 toons, or is it going to kill my xp?  I never grouped in epics before (always soloed the quests), so I'm not really sure how the system worked before or if it's changed since.

TR Order

On a level 30 toon, can I +20 lesser into a different class, then ER for the bonus then just TR to reset everything and start over at the beginning?

Dailies

Tavern Brawl is great to hit for the heart seeds, but what other quests should I be hitting for quick farming?  Both heart seeds and tokens.  My backstock is running low and I'm going to need to start stocking up again.  And don't say DA.  I fucking hate DA.  Only way I'll run that is with an auralock on auto while I'm looking at boobs

Forgot about that.  Pretty sure I've got at least 2 or 3 lives worth of tokens in that rainy day fund, plus the epic XP is actually pretty good - so I can run my lock through a few for XP and ings.

Take the racial PL instead of the heroic, which is why I said "pick up the heroic or racial PL" in my previous statement.

Which are better really depends on the exact builds you're considering.  Overall, I'd say the epic PLs are a bit better all around then the heroic ones.  The real prize from heroics and the racials are the +stat bonuses and the completionist feats.

For example, on a shuricannon, Dex is an extremely high priority, if not the highest, so the +dex racial PLs and the racial completionist have a lot of value.  For a melee?  Seems like the +str or +dex and the +con racial PLs would be useful.

I think someone else on here mentioned that one of the more optimal ways to farm PLs is to level to 30, epic TR, level to 30, epic TR, heroic/racial TR.  If memory serves, the reason it is optimal is that you can use slayers and saga xp turn ins on one of the epic TRs to speed things up.

I'd also point out that just chain eTRing with a warlock and running the same, small set of quests over and over gets tedious pretty quickly.  Mixing heroic and racial TRs in with the epics at least adds some variety to the quest list.

It doesn't exactly fly by, does it?  I kind of love/hate epics.  Love the gear and the power, but the levels are taking longer than expected (even with the epic tome).  And that's not even getting into the destinies thing, which is my least favorite grind in the game (that's what really burned me out in the game 3 years ago, spending weeks trying to fill completely pointless spheres that do fuck all for your build, gimping you so bad you pretty much have to do slayer because you know you won't last in any setting past norm).

Ended up getting the +20 heart though.  It'll basically do the same thing for this toon as an Otto's box, but at half the cost.
