Because there was apparently something wrong with good old-fashioned text-chat. TBF DDO's voice chat has literally never worked for me. That's spanning 6 computers 8 OS installs and 10+ sound cards. After a while it just gets easier to type.

We have no issue with the one hosted by one of our guildie. As for a Vault Discord, meh... the Vault is all about Discord, but only the first meaning of the word.
