Pure fighter is better IMO. The lack of heals does suck, but if you grab silver flame pots its not bad. The dps difference between them and paladins is pretty big. t2/t3 consecrated ground is an option. cocoon is good. Maybe just run in divine crusader until you feel comfy.

The falchion from Toxic Treatment is better due to its critical threat range.

The changes to the War Soul tree is making me consider a WF/BF FvS build again.

Dwarf sucks because you can't get Con to hit. Half Orc's not bad, but on a maul build you'll probably want a race that can worship Silvanus for the optimal crit profile (PDK). Also, you'll want to drop the platemail to get a DPS set bonus.

For elite and lower skulls anything may work, barbarian, fighter, pally, even cleric. I'd look for max dps and DCs. Barbarians on a very good position right now and after update gonna be even better; fighters somewhere near with best possible stun and dire charge. For a ma pdk splash with some divine is probably best choice. If you wanna be a tank badly go 12 ftr 7 clr 1 wiz, kensai, std and warpriest. You wont loose much dps, will have decent prr, mrr and ac enough to be immortal on elite.

Yet dont stick to this raid armor. Unlike weapons raid armors are not best choices, they give different bonuses than regular ones and just +1 ac and +2 prr over regular. Thats nothing. Evade to get same bonuses from different gear parts and missing important ones like parrying. For dps you'd better go either crypt raider or silent avenger set. Silent avenger is better, yet it uses light armor, so no hp and extra str from std.
