Best cosmetics?

I tend to factor in rarity along with looks when choosing my cosmetics.

I used to rock http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Epic_Red_Dragonhide_Armor with http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Epic_Helm_of_the_Red_Dragon on a human male. Both looked good and were somewhat hard to obtain. Then the 10th anniversary gave everyone a Red Helm so I stopped wearing that.

I taught myself how to solo Abbot raid and got myself a http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Enduring_Conviction. It looks good and is pretty rare since hardly anyone runs the raid anymore. For my helm I just rock the Diadem of Fire. Rip Epic Red Helm.

What do you guys use?

Oh, it's happened.

The trick is to get a special graphics program (I forget the name of it; it's free) that allows you to alter what you see playing DDO...including the "disappearing" tiles.

I used to use bot accounts for goggles, since I was bringing them to loot anyways. Some other people preferred the suicide with goggles method and some liked the "leap/abundant step and pray" method. There were/are a whole bunch of ways to do it.

I used the Leap/abundant step method while running on the cracks of two adjacent tiles. Warlock in Exalted Angel for the wings/self Rez. I didn’t have the DoJ petrification immunity shield so I just jumped non stop and ran it on normal to limit the amount of time Abbot can cast Encasement. I got my blind goggle run down to about 70-80% chance. Once you passed goggles it’s basically a guaranteed completion.

Edit: I actually recorded a completion. You have to do two rounds with my method. Average time is 13 Mins. I was going to post a guide but didn’t get around to it.

Edit: Fun fact. http://m.ddowiki.com/page/Item:Shield_of_Reflecting Does NOT work against encasement. I farmed it for an hour and ended up not working.

I would be very interested in a PM if someone happens to know the name of this program.

Can that get rid of the Shadowfell purple migrane and the underwater blur when swimming?  If so, I'm going to have to look for it.

The bright purple Shadowfell glow and the bright white snow glow in WGU can be mostly removed by turning off video post effects in your graphics options.

Messing with the graphics settings can also minimize the underwater blur.

Thank you!

But I would totally edit the name out of the post though.  As a rule, Turbine tends to change their stance and pull out the ban hammer over things that make us happy.

Lol, do you really believe the devs will launch an external anticheat prog (only way to detect it) for this silly tool?

Is there a potential for the devs to overreact over something minor?

I don't know, have you interacted with the bank lately? Wink

I don't get it. This program apparently gets its math right. It should be called UnShade.

No. That would be a good name if it didn't include math at all. As Shade has taught us, math doesn't solve anything.

Didn't they change to shared cooldowns on wings/abundant step/boots/etc just so that you couldn't do that reliably?

I have no clue about shared cooldowns but those arent needed. Once you run on the cracks of two tiles you have very good chances of completing. In fact Vanshilar gives it a near 90% chance (with wings or step on normal).  Which is close to what I had once I memorized where the cracks are.

The easiest way was the crack method. All you had to do was figure out the /loc that lined you up on crack 1/2/3 (we had them noted and made sure peoples /loc was the same before they blind ran) and go. Simple, easy, boring. Just like the abbot raid. But when everyone is to chicken shit to do it, you find ways. YOU FIND WAYS.
