The funny thing is, they're just removing the only real incentive for people to keep doing that event.

If I remember correctly, with a marginally competent group where each person could take a room/boss, I had the completion times down to sub-2 minutes.  The only bottleneck was how many repetitions I could do before drooling on my keyboard from boredom.

I ground the shit out of it for the goggles though since that was the best way to level sentient jewels after the original feature was fixed, but it was mind-numbing.

Now?  I might be able tolerate it to mats for maybe one item if the new ones are really good, but otherwise, that event can go to the lowest level of hell.  The completions required per item are stupid. 

I cannot fathom why the devs think people find it fun to run the same event over and over and over and over and over.  Why don't they understand that most people generally greatly prefer to run longer, challenging events just a few times to get rewards than some short, mind-numbingly easy quest 200 times?  Even if the quest is amazing, after 50+ repetitions, it's zero fun. 

Might as well just write a script to run bots through it while you AFK at that point.

I don't know that it even qualified as an exploit.  It was more just the standard, half-assed quality control on SSG's part than it was an actual exploit.

I don't run R10 raids or anything, so I really don't need to be top-tier 100% of the time.  You're essentially whining that the easy way of getting top-tier everything is gone.  Waah. 

Cue the "BUT ARTIFICIAL GRIIIIIIIIINNNNND WAAAH" which might be a reasonable argument if they didn't have it on every system they've ever put into place. 

If you're surprised at all about a grind in this game then you should probably get checked for some form of dementia.  But if you don't know enough to load up on what was obviously an easy-button dev oversight as often as you can while it's available, then you're probably don't register enough brain activity for dementia to have any negative effect.
