For example, my company runs a weekly report on "perfect order" percentage.  The criteria for perfect orders are that the customer got exactly what they ordered, in the quantities they ordered and it was delivered on the initially promised date.  That number is usually in the 95%+ range.  When it dips below that, the Perfect Order committee dives into what went wrong and how to make sure it doesn't happen again during their weekly meeting.

Oddly enough, we don't have a lot of our customers telling us that we suck.  We also have about half the average amount of customer and employee churn for our industry.  Not churning away your customers is another foreign concept to SSG.

For my part I could give two shits about the armor.  Sorry Ash, your reading comprehension is obviously shit.  Not sure if you're just an idiot or intentionally obtuse or what.  Probably some crusty old cumshot from your last SSG white knighting.  You should really wash better.

Anyways.

The problem is this is a huge hit to what little integrity they had left.  It's pretty obvious now that they'll nerf items to promote sales of their new shit.

It just doesn't make sense otherwise. 

Steel is on record saying that he regrets the Pansophic Circlet making it into the game and that he would like to remove it.  Yet it stays.

Invuln armor has been in the game since...what...when did Cannith Crafting go live and that made levels 1-9 trivial for how many years before Reaper became a thing?

You can make an ML1 weapon that does like 5d6 bonus damage when normal ML1 dropped/named gear is obviously next levels of ass.

Silver longbow, an ML8 weapon, is still a contender at level 30 because of the crit profile, yet that's never been touched.

And so on and so forth.

DDO is filled with items that stand outside the norm so this is pretty obviously a "Sharn is coming and since we suck dick at making good content, mudflated gear is all we have left" nerf. 

I mean notice that it's totally okay for Ravenloft to have the best caster belts in the game by a metric fuckmile.  There simply isn't another item that competes until legendary belts but that's A-OK.  Silent avenger set?  Okay with us!

Yeah, this has nothing to do with game balance and everything to do with selling Sharn.

The whole point about nerfs is that it means they failed to design and playtest things properly in the first place.

It was not an error. They released No Worries the way it is and kept it that way until they decided to focus on non-light armors in Sharn. It never even crossed their minds before as an error, let alone in need of nerfing. Wasn't even on any radars.

They didn't nerf it to sell sharn. They nerfed it to make sharn armors look better at level 15.

Not everyone does this.  I play DDO as a game to have fun in static groups, so I am much more time invested in getting something that requires 'farming'.  I'm also more gear dependent with no/few past lives on my characters.  I took the time to get party favors to get the armor at every level, because the stats were worth the effort.  I slotted augments and now I have to unslot them.  Sure, I have tools from daily dice, sure I can buy some from the store.  Not the point, they took from me either through ineptitude (which is more likely) or shenanigans and I don't like that.   Not a deal breaker for me, but this nonsense does add up over time and for some, this will affect their game time or decision to purchase.

The fair solution would have been to make it equivalent to crafted armor, but they won't cause that would look 'weak'.
