Been getting this every day now.... I'm over on Orien and the lag has been pretty bad. But last night was on a youngster doing LoD and about 5 minutes into 'Spinner' we just *bloop*. No warning, no anything, the whole group got kicked. Lag just before wasn't atrocious or anything, but fairly 'kitchy' for the last hour or so. Happened day before too.

Not sure wtf is going on.. but Its not a good sign.

I think part of the problem is that some of us have been playing a while, and most of us are hoarders. We've got max or near max roster of both alts and locker toons, with an utter metric crap-ton of shit we hang onto for each of them.

I've heard Devs repeatedly refer to the '32bit integer' max for numbers, how that's why the max for plat in bank or personal inventory is 4.12 mil, etc...

Staff have repeatedly said that 64bit is a ways off, but most of these system and hardware upgrades they are saying are going to happen on Wednesday are going to be fairly useless on a 32bit system. It's like putting a band-aid on a sucking chest wound.

I'm taking screen shots of my gear, just in case something takes a giant shit.

My understanding is that they are doing hardware upgrades - specifically on the storage systems. 

If I recall the last hardware maintenance, it was all faster HD's and no SSD's given the price (2014ish).  This round there's a good possibility of moving some of the drive array elements to SSD (because they've gotten much cheaper) and running with a much better caching scenario.  Since DDO is basically a big massive SQL server instance we should see some good improvements if this is the case.

I'm moving from the hoarder mentality to a much more minimalistic world to try and clean up my main toon.  Moving a lot of stuff to mules to reduce the risk to my main and first alt.
