I'll be honest. When I HEAR the announcement for the event upon log-in I honestly have no idea what to do, what the rewards are, or how to get them....

... not sure if my utter lack of interest is due to my constant quest to TR... or just a lack of others participating and thus me getting dragged into yet ANOTHER farm-fest...

I never run this event.  But even if I did, with a 10% VIP weekend, I got PL's to earn.

I ran my 30 monk 3 times with the free tokens.  Got junk loot even though I had the highest level of reward.  Deconned 3 armors and called it a day.

That's because you can only get junk loot unless you buy the blessing from the store.

Next to the winter events this is hands down my least favorite event they ever half assed.

I'll never get the 10 minutes of my life I wasted finding out how worthless it is back again  Cry

Yeah. Then you can get junk loot that you paid points for.

Even when the event first came out in 2010 it was ass. After about 20 mins you got bored and never did it again. The only cool thing about it back then was if you were super lucky with your free blessing you could get a +3 lesser heart.

as far as shitty events go, i like more that one where two casters "fight" each other and summon sucubi, at least the visuals are nice and it dont cause lag.

The concept is kind of fun but the rewards are hot garbage, not even worth running the free event over.

I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

A lot of people on the official forums seem to be weird.  But if running around a public area picking up eggs for a crap reward makes them happy, it's their time to waste.  I only hope that this brings in exactly zero store sales, but who am I kidding.

No, let me be Frank.

Smart players know how to use buyback.

I did what I did intentionally and while my primary purpose was not to annoy the other Vaulties, I acknowledge that it was a side effect.

Smart people don't elicit "side effects."  They understand in advance the consequences of their actions.

Well this is basically a predecessor to daily dice gambling.
You purchase stuff from the DDO Store and you have a slim chance to win DDO Store stuff.

Considering that one has to also jump around for a few minutes, and that the event is rare, the rewards should be better than daily dice

I stopped doing it when they stopped giving us free Blessings.  As usual, they got greedy and spoiled it.  Luckily, I still have dozens of teleport rods and some hearts from when it was worth it

I took my free tokens and mistakenly went to watch a perfect run video before I checked the wiki to see past rewards.

My free tokens are going to rot in buyback.

Reminds me of the old lottery.

That old lottery through the MyDDO site was awesome. I got all kinds of great shit from those random draws...

Everything from hair dyes to Gold seal Hirelings to Hearts of Wood.

I miss MYDDO. That was a functionality they should have worked much harder to get working properly. It was how I figured out which alt had the +6 CON belt in its inventory  Grin

Something that benefited the players, without costing them monies? HA!... Get rid of that shit...

Yeah I still have a few BTA hearts from the lottery days on a mule. Think I used most of the +20 and just have 3 or so lesser now.

Of course I'm not allowed there anymore anyways even if they did have it! :p

MyDDO was pretty great. One of the best things was being able to 'Inspect' other players gear/stats with YourDDO. Seeing who was gimp was pretty handy when doing epic/elite raids. You could also troll other people by wearing gimp gear before logging. It was pretty short lived though. Once they abandoned MyDDO, YourDDO couldnt get the info on characters in order to inspect them. Rip

Still pretty sad DDO doesn't have a simple inspect feature to see other players gear/stats.

This is what it used to look like: https://web.archive.org/web/20130801041945/http://ddocrafting.info/myddo/

Other than alienate players it didn't really do anything useful.
