The only advantage of 10 warlock/10 whatever is lack of gearing. Pure classes, geared decently (even cannith crafting will get you there) will be superior.
Don't discount that Advantage.
Having to create only 1 set of crafted gear to run 30 lives definitely helps out the speed and convenience.
If you are playing a different class/build type each time, then you will spend lots of time crafting items and then playing the inventory management game.
If you are going to do the "I'm only going to run 30 lives as my project and nothing else", then you can:
1) Create 3 or 4 sets of crafted gear at various levels to swap to for power increases. All will be BTA
2) Empty out your reincarnation cache of crap you are never going to use... put all BTA stuff you won't be using on the next 30 lives on to a mule toon somewhere. And take a hard look at all that BTC crap you keep saving because maybe, just maybe it might be useful in the future... if you haven't use it in a year, then just toss it.
3) Then buy 100 potions (not from the Guild vendor because those BTC) of Lesser Restore, Remove Curse, Remove Disease, Poison Neutralization, Remove Blindness, CSW) and put them in your inventory.
4) Buy 50 charge wand of fireball (for Inferno of Damned and maybe for Siegebreaker tents).
5) Buy 100 scrolls of Sleet Storm for Inferno
6) Buy 100 Stone to Flesh for the Medusa quest in Lordsmarch (you don't have to go into the library to get the salve if you can Stone to Flesh)
7) Get other scrolls you might use
8) Buy 1000 (not from guild vendor) of all the Warlock spell components you will need).
8) empty out your Shared Bank account to ONLY items that this toon will use. Put them on mules for later.
When you put your crafted gear into the shared bank for this toon, put it all in by level...e.g if you craft a full set of gear for level 10, then put all level 10 gear in at the same time so it is all together.
Now as you level, you have those 3 or 4 levels where you will run to the bank and empty out your old set of crafted gear off your toon, then grab the next set for the level you just hit.
When it becomes time to reincarnate at 20, you empty all you current BTA gear into the Shared Account, and the 10 or so items that are BTC, you put in your personal bank.
Now, go research and download a script for recording mouse and keystrokes and you can setup a script to empty out your Reincarnation cache so after you empty everything into Shared Bank and your personal bank, you can start that script while you go make a sandwich and come back when your cache is empty.
Go reincarnate.
After you reincarnate, quickly grab all the gear from Cache that you will need for that character for the 20 levels and either put it in your inventory or if you won't use it for 10+ levels in your personal bank. Leave everything NOT needed for this life in Reincarnation cache.
Go to shared bank and grab all the potions, scrolls, wands, components, that litany sigil, etc and put them in your inventory at LEVEL 1. Trust me, you will forget later as you level up.
Get all your gear you'll need for those low levels (I only crafted level 2 and level 3 scepters for Warlock Acid, Impulse and Light (need impulse at 2 and light at 3 when you get Utterdark). I had a level 1 set of Grundok boots with a master's gift in it... most of my slots were empty until I hit level 5... but I know some people may craft a full set of level 3 gear.. that's fine.
I usually had enough XP stones from daily dice rolls to get me to level 2 at least as soon as I started.
Boom! Now you are ready to go. As you hit the next level for crafted gear, you just run to the bank.
1) Pull off everything you are currently wearing using and throw in Shared bank.
2) Grab everything from shared bank for next level (and since you put it all in there at the same time, it is all in sequence so you don't have to waste time searching for each piece.
3) Check your personal bank for any BTC items you might want to use (really I had in there was Voice, Mantle, 10 charge necklace from Necropolis for negative absorption, and my PLIS).
You will save tons of time during leveling and especially during the gruelling recincarnation process.
Also if you don't know how to use:
\ui layout Save <layoutname> and
\ui layout Load <layoutname>
You should learn it.
That will get all your toolbars and other UI objects loaded to the same place each time you reincarnate.
