Hey all,

Some background here... took a nearly 6 year break from DDO then came back (probably my first mistake right there).  Spent the last year and a half working on getting epic completionist, completionist (not triple), and racial completionist.  For racial completionist, I just made an Arti over and over ad nauseum in the various races.  Three weeks after I finished the racials, they added Alchemist.  So I just finished a crappy Alchie life so I can have completionist back.  Main is Baltine over on G-land.

I tell you this to let you know why I'm a noob and have absolutely no knowledge of what endgame or raids look like since almost 2013.  Also, I've been playing ranged since I came back and don't know what melee DPS looks like either (which may have again changed since U45).

Balt was originally a monk back in the day.  I liked the extra thought that had to go into monks (setting up combinations and finishing moves to get the best results for the group).
Hell, I even bought one of those naga 12 thumb button mice and set up extra bars to link to the buttons.  But now it seems like my "clickie addiction" will be satiated by damn near any build due to epic destinies regularly having some fun clickies.   

When I was getting his epic past lives, I had a build that was 18/1/1 Rogue/monk/Fvs and lived in vistani for assassinate.  I got the idea for it from picking Myelen's brain for a bit.  War Soul was good for DC's and it used extra feats to get master/grandmaster of forms.  It was good single target dps, and could handle traps, but AOE was crap.

So here are the asks...
Is a pure 20 monk still viable at endgame?   And if so, any decent builds out there?
Would an 18/1/1 Rogue/Monk/FVS build be better with all it's sneak attack glory or have the recent changes to war soul messed that up? 
Have the new changes to THF made it so I should just say fuck it and roll up a Bladeforged pali like half the server?

TLDR: please help a noob navigate the pros and cons to pick a "final build" to learn endgame until shifters come out and I have to do it all over again.

Wolfs are meta. Monk wolfs are also meta. Warlocks aren't as strong as you remember them but DC builds work. Sorcerers are the best right now. Are we talking melee specifically?
