looking for the informed opinion of builders here regarding Bows. I've read in the wiki that Bow were made faster in U44 and U45, but I'm curious to hear if your experience has born this out.

Even before the buff a low level Arcane Archer is seriously strong.  Now just a bit moreso.  The bigger buff was the boost to precise shot/archer's focus stacking faster and counting for 5 rp per stack.  I mean you're getting 75 rp at a super low level.  If you happen to go DWS tier 5 you can now get 25 stacks or 125 rp and it stacks super fast.

Still I don't know how strong they are after level 14 or so as I transitioned into my zombie thrower build (which I know is nerfed to shit soon).

Best Bow build is like 1/4 of the Best Knife thrower build currently. And it will remain so even after zombie nerfs.

I agree 100% after about level 12 to 14 or so.  Before that Arcane Archer's are very strong.  Now of course, I can admit that no one really cares about those levels.  Still, at level 10 you can have 7d8 of an imbue for 31.5 base dmg and 300 spellpower in that element easily for 126 dmg from imbue alone.  Add manyshot, reaper doubleshot boost, 75 rp from archer's focus and it's pretty fun one-shotting things on R4. It just fails to scale late into the game is all.

Knife chuckers are brokenly good right now.

Bows, if you're totally optimized you can make it to mediocre.
