There aren't a whole ton of better insightful CON items out there, definitely not one so easy to slot. When I was going over the gear-set I couldn't find anything more important to put in the trinket slot, and everything with better insightful CON is either a raid item, or goes in a slot that is taken up by the set.

I GUESS I could use the cloak of the city's champion, but is an extra +2 CON worth more than Insightful Evocation Focus +4 and Spellcraft +22 on a sorc?

So I settled on Legendary Boundless for the head piece to get the insightful wizardry.

1,079 fire spell power(not counting maximize/empower/etc), 63% crit chance, 65x crit damage.

740 force spell power, 55% crit chance, 65x damage

Still have the glove slot to fill. Also I need to find/farm a new Legendary Celestial Sapphire Ring. Probably have one on an alt somewhere, but that'll bump things up a titch more.

Any suggestions on gloves?

It would have to be gloves because that's what's wide open. However... I'm not exactly sure what to craft. I've never quite gotten the hang of LGS.

Also, quick update: put the same gear on my main(who will actually be wearing it), got 1,111 fire spell power and 71% crit chance.

Worth a shot. Really cool that you can get the value on tier 1/2. Mats for those are comparatively easy.

Now I just have to flag for it...

Does anyone know whether those things work? I thought there were hard caps on spell levels. I can't find good info on meteor swarm though.

EDIT: MS may not have a cap... that may make that helm useful.. interesting..

not only meteor get busted, also Dragon breath and enegy burst gets the +3 max caster lvl.

Problem is the character who has it is also a crafter/mule and one of the only ones I have with max storage space. Just getting his inventory cleared out to where I can TR him would be a herculean effort, and THEN I'd still have to go favor-unlock all that shit again. That helm appears to be more unique too. Arcane augmentation adds 2 to level. Lesser aug adds 1. That helm adds 3 for fire spells

Oh i got Incendiary Cloud hotkeyed, use it constantly. Especially fun when you actually have the ability to lay it down before the fight starts. Whats really fun is it ticks off for like 700 with that fire spell power.


I did also discover I'm not quite as hopless as I had thought. I managed to get through Red Rain and the prequest ok(I think I died once... but when else was I going to eat all those cakes?)
