I haven't played much since the patch personally, so haven't had time to re-think my entire gear set. I slotted a legendary thrumingspark cord just so the slot wasn't empty. It's not doing jack shit since I haven't got an electric spells prepared, but it was something.

The real answer is Greensteel if you've duped enough mats to make it viable.

I have not, so I'm going with a third option. Reincarnate and slowly wander through all the low level quests as a melee for the first time in forever until pew pew pass makes bow Rangers come out on top and I can kill things from across the room again.
