Hi All.

So, Against my better judgement, I purchased the Mid-Ranged pre-expansion, the Fables of Feywild.  Yeah, I probably should have waited, but I have been wanting a white unicorn mount long before I even started playing this game, and it seems that SSG had finally made my wishes come true.  Oh, I like playing this game, even with all its problems.  So after viewing the White Unicorn from the splash screens, I said, "here, take my money."

Unwise decision.

A noble stead, a bit bemused looking, but proud and elegant. Something I would probably ride forever.  What I had been waiting for, since - well, forever.  My congrats to the Art Department was gushing, to say the least.

This mockery of a Unicorn. 

A true bait and switch.  I know I will not be able to get my money refunded, probably will not ever even be able to contact customer support, but I am sorely disappointed in this rather strange interpretation of a Unicorn.

The yellow/blonde mane and hair is rather unsettling.  Like a trailer-park floozy that dyed her hair blonde, but could not afford real hair dye and instead used hydrogen peroxide and a hair dryer.  And the strange beard.  Why?  Really, why?  It was on none of the Art Screen - why foist it upon us?

Sigh.  I guess I will go back to my Fast Mount - not a unicorn, but something I will be able to tolerate riding.

Unicorns are traditionally depicted with beards because they were thought to be more like goats than horses.

TBH, what disturbs me about the splash screen unicorn image is that one of the legs seems to be disconnected at the knee.

One thing I absolutely agree with the right about is extreme cultural sensitivity sucking all the joy and laughter out of everything.

Problem is (and to be fair, it was kind of stomped on by extreme assholes), people no longer make a distinction between lightly mocking and blatantly demeaning or judgemental.  There are easily a dozen of harmful stereotypes I could have used but wouldn't consider because they're are harmful.  I used the kids gloves intentionally and said something I would gladly say in front of one of my black friends knowing that only a thin-skinned little pussy would be offended by the comment.

Chris Rock would have laughed.

Now if we switch it around, I now can push the boundaries of comedy without having to worry about offending thin-skinned, hypocritical pussys.
