So the Icebard build was a lot of fun, except you had to stare at an ugly PDK in order to use it. Now that Feywild has introduced the Feydark Illusionist tree, has anyone though to revisit this build on a more attractive race?

I've thought about trying it. I enjoyed the play style back in the day (Pre-Reaper).

However, I don't know which route to go.

THF Seems fun, but I don't know the build is every going to be high-tier AOE damage.

I'm thinking about potentially single weapon fighting w/ a buckler like the old Fire and Ice build.

For the icebard you definitely do swashbuckling/swf, the goal is max possible attack speed to maximize freezing procs.

Been thinking about bard. Of course it would be a 13 bard/6 barb/1 FvS DPS (15-20x5 handaxe) bard that just happens to have just enough points in Warchanter to get Frozen Fury rather than whatever build you're thinking of.

Undecided on race. Probably Tiefling Scoundrel since they get +Cha and handaxe enhancements. But open to suggestions.

Are you thinking cha-based?

Looking for a new build to run a couple lives on, next week or so.
did you think any more on this?
you might have teased enough ideas for most people to get a build, but I need the No-Brainer class.  Shocked

Stratis on Khyber--in the last meta at least--found light mace + Shadarkai to be better deeps due to the stacking crit enh. But, maybe the new handaxe and other changes to swf make that different.

Is this the best split for bard?  barb for rage and FB? then fvs for nightshield and a battle trance?  Sorry bard is one of the lives I have coming up and I'm just starting to look into where they are at currently.

I plan to get my final EPL's on that toon.
Iconic might be the best build, but my plan is to drop a tier below that and run 1-30, some reapers, rinse and repeat.
I fit more into the mediocre range anyway  Wink

There was real good build of an 18Br/1Ftr/1Clr that was posted on the forums not to long ago.

He went Scourge for the 1xcrit modifier to light mace. If I rolled one this is definitely how I would go

Cha to hit in Feywild, Cha to damage in Swash.

17-20 x4 19-20x3 on a light mace

Whats they prefered light mace for this scenario?

Im pretty sure he was using a Lightning Coil because it has 2 slots and the highest base damage rating. He would switch out to the Labyrinth's Edge for a Boss beater.

That can't be right.

Swash alone (with keen/imp crit) is 15-20x3. Scourge makes it 15-20x4. LD or DC can get 14-20x4. A named items with expanded crit multi (Skullsmasher) can make it 14-20x5.

The light mace for leveling is Skullsmasher.

Neat. Probably can't be that tough to get an EE ml25 skullsmasher.

Strat used lightning coil as well. I'm only talking endgame. No idea about leveling.

That's because you idiots are talking about the same person. Stratis is the one who posted his build on the forums recently.

There's no raid tier dps light mace option so it's lightning coil's extra dice weight and a slot vs the procs on the generic endgame weapons (Morninglord, Nightmother, Syranian, Ferrocrystal)
