We have around a week and a half left of transfers before they turn the service off. How are you guys liking your new servers? Anyone good that surprised you once you pugged there?

Sarlona native here: I haven't seen any egregious assholes in the few moments I've been pugging so far.

@Endgame
No one has removed my socks with wind. It's nice seeing other endgamers and just interacting with other people. It's nice that all of Gland's endgame came back at the same time to do the move and are now playing. In a month or so people will be playing less again, but then we'll have the mini-expansion.

Endgame has been stale for like 4(+?) years. I forget when doom reapers were released. We need a revitalization of challenges and shitty situations for people to create for themselves in order for impressive or memorable things to happen in a random quest. You still get memorable stuff in raids but this is all a game problem not a player problem.

@Low-level stuff it's really nice to actually have groups. I played 2-6 and then 18-cap and then epics on an Alchemist. I didn't have to put up my own lfms which is a big change.

Large servers mean more room and people so you don't have to worry about shitting where you eat. You can take a break from the same people you've been playin with for 10+ years which is nice. Gland's endgame community was probably too tight nit. (Someone else might call it cliquey.)

TLDR

Overall I'm very happy with the transfer. I hope anyone else gets the chance if they need it but with transfers borked atm... ...I wonder.

Im surprised everyone chose Orien over Sarlona. Orien has a shitty R10 group scene and theres no Raid progression worth talking about (most end game players left years ago) however the casual raid scene is surprisingly strong.

I have a toon left on Orien that I plan on TRing next week with the new Archetypes so will see what levelling is like.

have not transferred yet but definitely considering it - will see how transfers develop and maybe transfer on the last day. O currently has +200 players online vs. my server which is a lot considering its ddo

Other bad things to note about Orien is that it has all the new players.
I love new players but they need to be protected rather than exposed to every ass-starved epeen retard in this game who hasn't played a new game in 5 years and still thinks they're special.

Let's just say we are wiping in quests.

Add to this that Orien has a leveling bug which is likely caused by the massive population. Don't get me wrong I'm happy we have more people to play with. I don't mind lag, assuming it gets a little better next week after the new pack drops.

This lag (and the lvl 28 max bug) seem to be related to them preloading the new pack on the backend. This always happens before new packs.
