Let's try this - Letter of protest to EG7

You know, I am bored and I'd like to cause a bit of havoc. How about a mail campaign to EG7?!
Take your time and copy and paste this text, maybe even reformulate to your liking and mail it to info@enadglobal7.com
Repost this anywhere you like.

Dear EG7,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with your handling of Dungeon and Dragons Online, respectfully Standing Stone Games. As a player of this game, I have experienced firsthand the numerous issues and problems that have plagued it for far too long.

One of the most significant problems with the game is the complete lack of customer communication from SSG. It is nearly impossible to get any useful information from that company about the status of updates, bug fixes, or even basic information about the game. The website and social media accounts are rarely used to address current or even recent issues of the game, even routine posts are late or non-existent.

Additionally, SSG has repeatedly disregarded customer feedback. Players have provided numerous suggestions and ideas to improve the game, but these have fallen on deaf ears. It is frustrating to see that company make irresponsible business decisions that ultimately harm the health of the game and drive away players.
A recent example is the handling of character transfers from the Hardcore server. Ill-considered decisions lead to fundamental changes that players have to endure and pay for.

The continued failing in the proper execution of updates and features is another source of frustration. Each new update seems to bring more bugs and issues, rather than addressing the existing ones. This makes the game nearly unplayable at times, and it is incredibly disheartening to see the game's potential go to waste.

Finally, the company's failed customer acquisition is another major concern. It seems as though SSG has done little to nothing to attract new players to the game. This lack of effort is not only harmful to the game's player base but also to the game's longevity and financial success.

In conclusion, I urge you to take the concerns of DDO players seriously and take immediate action to improve the state of Dungeon and Dragons Online. Without significant changes, I fear that this game will continue to decline and ultimately fade away entirely.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Don't we have the CEO of EG7's name? Maybe look for a brick-and-mortar mailing address? I feel like hundreds of hand-addressed physical letters would be harder to ignore than emails.

A you tube video calling them out with proof might work better.
Then we can boost the views to make it look like people care.

It is a 17 year old game. Let it die in peace, the end is almost near. The producer's letter was a clear indication they have given up and might as well switch it off. 1200 players across 8 virtual servers, and the code is so bad and so old even the server transfers are not working (and they do not have a clue to fix it).

Server transfer ( when it appeared ) used to be manually performed and it did cost an arm and took at least a week.

So just the fact that it's been automated ( IIRC by no less than Severlin for Lammania ) and is a matter of minutes is great from my point of view... Even in current semi-broken state.

I think the transfer process craps itself under the load as lots of people are moving at the same time.

This is interesting. If you check the dev tracker, HumbleFriar has suddenly started getting more involved. Like actually engaging with players in discussions and not just replying to bu threads with "We are looking into this".

I'm just hitting two years back playing the game.  I had played in beta and launch, but left a few months in after running myself out of content (my own fault).

When I came back I was astounded by the sheer amount of content and new systems to learn.  My biggest draw was the past life system.  I've always enjoyed games with a 'play it again' system.

Having checked Daybreak's forums a few times prior, around the time news of Isle of Dread came out I checked again and saw a position and applied with the hopes of joining the team.

I started in July and I've been blown away by the team.  Their dedication to making the best product they can has made me so proud to have made the decision to join.

I sincerely hope you give the game a shot.  Don't be discouraged by how much there is to learn.  There is no winning DDO, just have fun w/ the experience.

HumbleFriar

Took me more time to copy paste his "suddenly getting involved" posts than it took him to write.

VIP perks  Grin

I think I send another one. A 3 to 5 weeks repetition can be automated and is realistic, don't you think?!

What difference would that make?

They still get millions of emails a day.

I still maintain a physical letter-writing campaign is much more likely to gain traction than emails. Its a lot easier to get someone to read a physical letter than it is to bypass email filters and THEN get an actual human to open your email.

Well I'm not using your letter because its very combative and doesn't address the specific concerns I have for the game, but yeah. I'll give it a go.

D'you have a specific name for a hire up at EG7 I can address it to?
