So, I'm considering TR'ing my main, Talrok, to remedy the many mistakes that come about from capping an original toon (and going for Deepwoods Sniper in the process

). I'm pretty happy with some of the synergies of my current class split, and want to try to re-create it with improvements from what I've learned over the last year.
Since I'm nowhere near an expert on DDO character builds, I wanted to ask for the critique and advice of those here.
I have two options to pursue, both of which are based on a human Tempest II/Kensei I.
The first option retains my current 14/6 ranger/fighter split. It has the benefit of 4th level spells, with slightly better saves and sneaking ability. I know that warhammers are sub-optimal, but they don't suck and I have a lot invested in warhammers (MinII, LitII, plus many randoms), so I'm going to stick with 'em.
