given that most casters wear the epic robe from chrono for +3 conj / +7 int

petitioner gives +2 dcs to necro / enchant and 10% sp discount.

true seeing, meh, +2 illusion, meh, evocation, i'll be switching to major lore items for spell crits anyway.

-10% is really nice. Long term though, if I were to gear a PM I'd want to put together an epic Inner Sight just so I can wear the epic Robe of Shadow. +7 int in a non-body slot and +2 DCs are enough to use it over Petitioner for me. I'd probably use Inner Sight most of the time and then swap to something else for nuking.

It's probably a moot debate though, since you'd think they would introduce new +7 items with the xpack.

I had a lifeshield of invulnerability at low levels, and definitely noticed it stopped proccing when I acquired and used a form. Switched to Thorn Guard of Superior Stability.

More +7 items would really be nice.

Also, I'm really digging the whole shield mastery thing.  My little gimp survived several head-stomps from eLob the other day that would have killed him had he not been doing a Captain America impression.

(also I was surprised how well a 2nd life wiz can do in that quest, it isn't as bad as I thought it would be in that role)


No life shield means that probably the best option is to make a few greater focus toys.  Probably enchant for a default and a couple others as needed.

I'm also going to play with trying a bigger shield and do twilight.  Saves would have to go somewhere else but I can wear a spare pair of innocent boots until figuring out that situation.

I guess I should amend my original statement to exclude desert items for which I don't have the shard.

I have the epic lion and demon bracers at least... :/

89 runs and counting, likely there will be new and better loot just in time for me to pull it.
