The beginning was pretty good. 

Then came what I like to think of as an alternate continuity where nothing was killed and everyone slept with every other character.  At once.

The current stuff has things getting blown up again. (although there is a lot of the other kind of blowing still)

Actually, the author has stated that the series will start to peel away from such a large amount of sex.  I am excited at this news.

That is good news... Laurell K. Hamilton is a good author who creates interesting characters.  I didn't mind the sex but there was a point where it was the whole plot.  Looks like I'm 4 back on the series...time to catch up.
