The Vault, possibly useful?

Anyone ever considered doing something constructive and useful with the Vault (no offense Strake)?  Above and beyond its current function of....well, whatever it is now, asylum maybe?  Sanity being irrelevant.  Like maybe a build repository (Which are looking like they are all dead soon) or something.

I think many who post here (and their therapists) would agree that this is being used in a constructive way by allowing people to type out their frustrations at other players or even Turbine without fear of being banned - ridiculed, berated or made fun of is a different story.

There are sections for builds and such. If people choose not to utilize them, they can be Bobby Brown about it.

The problem with any build repository is that almost every patch something major changes obsoleting some existing builds.

Also, this place IS highly useful.

I learned more about the game in my first month here than I had in the entire year previous.

I've learned a loyt hear.  Most recently, some crafting tips.  I prefer to get my information in the most snarky and sarcastic manner possible, so I'm quite happy with the vault.

Every super hero needs a super villain.
Every protagonist needs an antagonist.
Every character needs an evil twin.

Balance of Power. This is why the vault is useful.

Me too.  I was meaning 'useful' in a 'easy to find' sort of way.

The DDO forum is for corporate propaganda (off message posts will be cubed) and for coddling griefers.

The vault is for dick jokes.

Take your pick.

But but ... the sole function of the Vault is to be an Asylum... like Arkham Asylum ( the DC or the Lovecraft one, pick the one you prefer.)

Builds are only valid for a time... Who remember the Power Ranger build from old time that could solo almost anything available at that time ?
Such a build would be laughed at nowadays.

The vault has its use as it is. Now if only Turbine could get into their brain that it's in their interest to have a site where people can say things that cannot be said on an official forum...

I think they understand. They can't support it, or condone it, but they see it for what it is.
