Read it and weep...

1) Way too long to log in and out of characters.  Diablo 3, I can sit down and be fighting with my friend whos online in 30 seconds.   I can change characters in 15 seconds.
2) Too much time sink and irritating things that are directed at free players (i.e to get them to buy things like bank space etc)  that get carried over into VIP.  I've payed the VIP sub for 6 years almost.  Yet still it takes me hours to find things among characters... 'maintenance' takes hours.
3)  6 Years... almost 50 characters capped before True Resurrection came out and yet there is nothing identifying me as an experienced player.   All of my previous experience was basically 'sold' to new players who simply TR one character over and over and gain more noteriety.   Seems like no loyalty whatsoever to the long time players.   Should be a player level that players can choose to display that lets people know the total xp over the lifetime of the account. 
4)  No blood... combat effects.   I've played daily for six years.  After playing Diablo3 I cannot bring myself to enjoy the combat anymore.   Why is there no option for blood spatter?
5) Not nearly enough Active combat feats.   Where is a charge? or  a grappling hook that lets you pull enemies closer.   After nearly 100 characters over 6 years I make the same character over and over again... a half orc fighter because its the only one that is enjoyable.   I use all the combat feats every time the timer goes off.   
7.  Why arent there more spells?  Millions of players and yet playing a caster amounts to the same few spells time and time again. 
8) Why arent all dungeons available in epic?  Seems like we are intentionally limited to so few dungeons in epic so that when new content comes out the players will flock to it w/o question.   Seems like it would be simple to make all dungeons available in epic with a simple numeric formula to give some variety in 'end game'.  Instead "end game" consists of 5-6 adventures run ad nauseum.    Why aren't adventures like "freshen the air' available in epic?  Seems like Turbine is more geared towards getting the f2p players to buy packs than doing anything whatsoever to keep long time VIP players interested.  The number of times I have run the same Epic quests is sickening considering how easy it would be to simply make all adventures have an epic mode.. and throw in some epic token fragments for a reward.   Not to mention making all the named items in the game have an epic version could be done in a few hours work.  I could do it myself in 3-4 hours. 
9)  Why are there no new helmets?  The 10 original helmet prints are atrocious.  I haven't had my helmet show in years.   The 2-3 new helmet graphics that came out are about 5 years too late.  Why aren't there 10-20 cosmetic helmets?  Actually nice looking ones for end game characters.   I could sit down in an afternoon and draw up 10-12 great looking helmets for cosmetic helmet prints. 

10) Why are there no cosmetic weapons?   We all have to have the same exact looking weapon.. the same 1-2 graphics for great axes?   Once again, I can come up w/ dozens of ideas for cosmetic weapon prints and I'd be happy to do it. 

The base game is good... the model is good.. the magic combat is good.. there are so many things that can be easily done to improve the game and yet nothing is done.

I read the whole thing. Valid points from your perspective.  I can't speak to the comparison between DDO and D3, since I've gotten to all of level 3.

Cosmetic weapons meh. Helmets yeah. I personally don't care to get "recognition" for having played for 6. I don't need it.

If you don't give Blank your all your stuff, can I have the rest?

Go Play a Trooper in SWTOR, you'll get your grapling hook
Go Play a Jedi Knight in SWTOR you'll get all the button mashing a abilities you want. ( and after a while you know exactly the order to push them to maximize the cooldown/effect ratio. )
Oh, the only drawback is that you just stand still watching you little timers expire during combat in SWTOR... there's no point in trying to move.

I will agree with the Cosmetic stuff through it seems I was lucky 6 years ago and got one of the rare feathered helmet ( underwater action one, no ML and all, I still have it tucked somewhere as it's a great leveling item and with some dresses/pajama it looks great. )

I want cute swords...I want Scantily Clad ( read Chainmail Bikini ) Female Characters wielding an Awsome Greatsword. I want Fat Half Elves ( and Elves and Halflings and ... )...

As much as I hate to say it, most of our Raids are the same way. Surround and beat on the Boss until everyone moves. Then rinse and repeat. There are very few exceptions.
